Quincy stopped producing Michael due to the fact that Q signed a deal with Warner Brothers in 1980 with forbade him to produce any acts outside the Warner/Elektra/Atlantic stable. The three-album Michael Jackson was made in 1978. He also stopped producing the Brothers Johnson for the same reason.

People that don’t the facts always make statements that aren’t true! They want to act like MJ’s completion and image didn’t overshadow his amazing music and performances after the Thriller Era!
MJ wanted Co-Producer credit for the Thriller Album and Quincy refused it.
This was the beginning of the end of their work relationship.
MJ didn’t have public/industry hate and envy during OTW and Thriller eras!
He was the coolest dude in the industry. Men wanted to be him and Females loved him.
He sold over 25 million copies of OTW during an era when black artists didn’t get support and equal promotion from the Record companies!
Thriller revolutionized the entire Music industry!
That album sold over 110 million copies alone!
By the time BAD came out the record industry was totally against him. They did everything to make sure that MJ would not repeat the success of Thriller!
Plus MJ public image was taking a beating in the press!
Black people was calling him a sell out.
White people were calling him Gay and Weird.
Still the BAD ALBUM sold over 50 million copies and produced 5 #1 singles!
Dangerous has sold close to 40 million copies.
History has sold over 35 million copies and is the best selling double album ever.
Michael wrote and arranged many of his songs and brought them to Quincy for post production.
    Working Day and Night
Don’t Stop til you get enough
    Billie Jean
    Another Part of Me
    Smooth Criminal
And many other songs MJ wrote and arranged.
MJ’s sound was already developed during the Jackson’s era.
Go back and listen to Goin Places, Destiny era MJ and you’ll hear the signature MJ sound.
What Quincy did was polish the material MJ brought to the sessions and find other writers/songs for his Thriller and OTW albums.
MJ’s sound wrote 90% of the Bad Album.
Quincy was great but non of his other work has sold as much or been as popular as the material he and MJ released.

You got it wrong. It was Michael who never won a record of the year Grammy Award.after working with Quincy. Quincy made his own album, Back on the Block, which became a Grammy winning Album of the year. Quincy produced the hot TV show, Fresh Prince Bel Air, produced The Academy Awards, produced We Are the World, and other TV shows and albums. Quincy has more Grammy Nominations in history than anyone else in history. Michael Jackson was not an arranger. Michael was a wonderful singer and dancer. Around this time Michael was arrested for raping young boys. Michael was then arrested by the police a few years later for abusing children. Michael was also a drug addict.

They were both perfectionists. Creative differences started happening as early as the making of Thriller, it was remarkable that they even put their issues aside to make Bad. A creative business split was inevitable, but at least they remained friends on a personal level, Q still called MJ by his nickname "smelly" throughout the 2000s

    • @ivanivalente
      @ivanivalente 3 дня назад +2

@don8244 I understand that. But for us, good music junkies, it hurts to know that some music projects never came to fruition because of stuff that could be overcomed. Just imagine if Quincy, Michael, Rod Temperton & Bruce Sweden had worked on 5 more albums together?

Quincy produced over a thousand songs for MJ... 800 alone for the thriller album .Quincy, Micheal , Toto musicuans and the songwriters writers were a machine. ..So for Quincy to be tired is understandable. 99% of the songs Quincy did for MJ will never be released becasue Micheal didnt want them ever released without his permission. .

My appeal to every Muslim, my brother or sister, the owner of the channel, I know that it is not my right to comment on your channel, but God is my witness that our circumstances are harsh and forced me to do this. Please forgive me. My brother, there is still a brotherhood of faith. I asked you for a bag of flour. My brother, we women cannot go out among men. There is still a woman with you. My brother, God has honored you. You are men. We are women. We cannot go out or work like you. My brother, where is the brotherhood of faith in your hearts? We are women. There is no brotherhood, no mercy, no compassion, no humanity. And give good tidings to the patient. It is the greatest hope while waiting for what we want. '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' How many times I called and talked and tried hard, but no one responded. Oh man, we are with you. My mother ordered us food from the restaurant. More and today. My mother left. Crying. She said, Why are you crying, my mother? She said, My daughter, I ask. God, that I may be honored by death. She said, Why, my mother. She cursed us. She said, "My daughter, today the restaurant owner insulted me. I said, 'Why?' I said, 'How can I be better than people?' I ask God, my daughter. May God gather me. With death alone, a gathering that is better than this humiliation and this humiliation. It is true. I am saying this. It diminishes my value and respect. But, man. I swear to God that I did not say this. I kiss your boots. I am so hungry that my conscience no longer allows me to let you go and ask us for food. I kiss your boots, man, and I ask you by God Almighty and in the Book of God, man, I kiss your boots, man. He has caused us harm, my brother, so that we can buy a kilo of flour and pay the rent. My brother, have mercy on us. He who is in the show will have mercy on you, He who is in the sky. My brother, this is my WhatsApp number: 00967713348473. Whoever can help us, message me on WhatsApp. We will send him the full name. He will transfer us as much as he can. May Allah reward you. Allah knows that my family and I, our house rent is 15 thousand Yemeni riyals per month, and now we owe 45 thousand for 3 months. The owner of the house is one of those people who do not have mercy. By Allah, my brother, he comes every day and humiliates us and talks about us and wants to throw us out of the house and into the street because we were unable to pay him the rent. We will have until the end of the week, and if we pay him, he will swear by Allah that he will throw us out into the street without mercy. See my situation for yourselves. I ask you by Allah, the Living, the Eternal, to help me. By Allah, the Almighty, even at night we cannot sleep from fear. We do not have mattresses or blankets to warm ourselves from the cold. Everything is flooded from the rain, and we have no one but Allah and then you. My brothers, I kiss your boots, don’t turn me away empty-handed. Help us with whatever you can.
