I did this install last week with the same PCM 3.1 on my 2012 Panamera. You don't need to remove the front screen at all. I also had the XM board. I installed all the standoffs. The fitment is extremely tight the ribbon cables are bent quite a bit but it works. I went back after and had to put a thin piece of plastic over top of the new circuit board so it does not hit the DVD drive. It's all good now. I highly recommend you don't remove the front screen, it is unnecessary.

Very very nice upgrad. I need to do the factory software upgrade for my 21 (992) 911 C4S to the 22 and up software with Android Auto. I have Carplay standard but, in the 911s Android Auto wasn't offered until 22, annoying. Absolutely annoying because I use and prefer Android phones. Apparently Porsche will do the upgrade at a crazy $ figure. There are now companies who will do it remotely Vin specific, OEM software and all for much cheaper.

Good luck with the vendor who will program your PCM remotely. It's hard to believe that Porsche did not include that with your expensive purchase. Being an Android fan, this was a MUST for me and this time around, I found a great product!
