Agree. Acchan the all-time Eternal Center. Sasshi the Queen of Senbatsu in terms of numbers. After Acchan, Mayuyu was the true Center, the Face of AKB48, and the true beloved overall Queen.
Interesting video. Ranking purely by votes obviously advantages both timing (those who were in the 48 universe in the 6-10th sousenkyo get more votes by nature of the groups’ overall popularity) and longevity (more legitimate an advantage than timing, I think). It makes me wonder if there’s a way to rank based on a combination of votes, votes as a percentage of total votes cast, and ranking. For example, Acchan’s 4,630 votes in the 1st sousenkyo would have ranked her worse then 80th in the 7th. So, she ends up 25th in this ranking but, she’s an absolute legend and an all time Kami-7. Anyway, maybe I’ll spend a weekend trying to figure out a good formula to take a couple other variables into account. Fun watch and thanks for the thought problem!
@@neosicheng I quickly did the first 3 and it's pretty interesting. Acchan's 4,630 was 8.6% of all votes with Yuko's 3,345 at 6.2%. The next year, Yuko's 31,448 was 8.9% but Acchan's 30,851 was 8.7% (so, she increased her share of the vote and still finished 2nd). In the 3rd SS, Acchan's 139,892 votes jumped to 13.1% of the total with Yuko's 122, 843 representing 11.5% of the vote. Their rivalry separated them from the field. I'll do the rest over the weekend, but the participant numbers go way up so it'll take a little time.
i saw a lot of comments talking about the fact that this ranking advantages members who partecipated in the latest sousenkyo and members who partecipated the most times, and i think i've come up with a way to calculate the rankings where these two factors don't count (at least i think) you could calculate the average rank for every member, instead of the votes; for example, acchan ranked 1st twice and 2nd once, so her average rank is 1.33... ecc, while sasshii ranked 27, 19, 9, 4, 2 and four times first, so her average ranking would be 7.22...ecc (this makes sense considering that acchan always ranked high, while sasshii started as a less known member) this way, the number of participations is not important, since it's an average, and since the number of votes is not considered either, members who partecipated when the group was less famous aren't in disadvantage ^^
I love that you made this! It was a very interesting watch. I see a lot of people debating the best way to perfect the ranking and I tried my hand at it as well. I made a scale to give out "points" to girls depending on their rank (1st gets 100, 2nd gets 99, etc.) And then bonus points for every center, kami 7, and senbatsu position. It still favors longevity in the group, but I think it reduces some favoritism in timing. (Results in replies)

thank you so much! some followers told me that i can make a variable of all votes of each member, i can try but i'm not really good at maths haha..
Do you have all the votes in an excel sheet? If so, you could email it to me and I can do it pretty quickly.
