You can buy candle rings to swap out for other holidays and seasons. The wine glasses do look so cute. My first thought when I saw them was to put battery tea lights in them. The gold tree idea came out nicely, just a little glimmer in that corner. Perhaps for Valentine's Day, you could tie red ribbon around those candles, since you already have some, if enough.
