However, I'm an assistant educator (teacher) at one of the Minneapolis (MN) high schools and so I end up listening to this album in my classroom when I'm grading papers. It confuses my students; I'm just expanding their mundane musical tastes :)
I love the song Lovesick. It's very eerie and dark but there's such a beauty to it and it fills me with so much hope when I listen to it. The whole album is amazing!
Still loving this album all these years later. I drove 3 hours to Omaha to see you perform at a bar for $8 back when you were touring for this album. No regrets.

I love the way your music is ever evolving to incorporate more influences and emotions from the compassionate to the abysmal dark. I have to say, in my long line of musical loves, Aesthetic Perfection and Graves' other works stand on top. Never cease to amaze us, Daniel Graves.

@@blinkth3dog Agreed. I love the variety of instruments used as well, electronic music is criticized (often justly) for being overly repetitive and simple but Showtime has so many different instruments, along with the vocals, at least at the time, being more varied than in the past.

In the beginning, lots of people, myself included, make the mistake of assuming that it's something that you just immediately "get" when a technique is explained to you. It's like with any other instrument, it's not just understanding the technique, it takes practice and physical skill. It's hard. It's something I continue to work on and improve.
