You missed the opportunity to point out the fact that the number 4 was also missing on that elevator.
Because "4" in Chinese pronounce like "dead". But it depends, some elevators have and others don't.
not all the elevators, most of elevators still have "4"、"14", and some of which will write "3a" and "13a" on it instead of "4" and "14"

关于过敏，我也是纳闷了，在国内的时候只是上课时候老师说过有人对某些东西过敏，但是身边没人有什么严重的过敏症，吃什么都行，抹什么都行，可能有人对青霉素过敏吧，但是也很少。到澳洲之后，我擦，别的不说，花粉过敏的就一大堆，还有另外一大堆人对麸质过敏，吃什么东西都得看是不是gluten free，还有各种各样奇怪的过敏症，听都没听说过的。
香港也有很多過敏的人，非常多的人🈶鼻敏感，花粉症。
還遇到過對花生過敏當的人，我有一個侄子對衣物驅蟲的樟腦丸過敏，有個侄女吃蝦會過敏，身邊還有一個同事對所有的海鮮都過敏，還見過吃芒果嘴巴會腫起來的。🤣🤣🤣🤣但我內地的朋友，完全沒有聽說過有誰會過敏的。

内地也慢慢多起来了，特别城市地区。。。有个理论认为是免疫系统就不能闲着，生活得越洁癖，越容易患过敏性疾病。。。反而经常亲近大自然的农村地区，接触接触病原体的机会多，可以让免疫系统有事做，不会闲着没事攻击自己的细胞。。。

@@yvang3665 经济越发达的地方通常环境会越好，以及人们自己会非常注意个人卫生，这本来是好事，但我们的免疫系统接触不到更糟糕的有害物质，慢慢就把其实无害但不是我们体内的东西当有害物质了，过敏发生的具体诱因现在并不是完全清楚，大家只知道是免疫系统过度反应了，所以有以上那些猜测。另外，我觉的还有个可能是，很多人身体不舒服，但以前过敏这个概念没有普及，大家并不知道那是过敏。我有个朋友小时候就发现吃鸡蛋会肚子疼，她上大学才知道自己应该是对鸡蛋里某些物质过敏。
