If this scam is worth PKR 135 crores (which translates to $6 million something according to today's dollar rate) and the so-called perpetrator has escaped the country (To Turkey), then all affectees should unite and file their case with the FIA. The FIA can get Interpool to catch this guy (it's a sure thing if you build enough pressure).
No, I am not affected by this scam, I am a member of PPG and I was keeping up with this scam. May Allah give courage and patience to all those affected, and I hate to admit but this scam will leave a scar on Pakistan's e-commerce, most sellers who are honest and professional will face the consequences even if they didn't do anything wrong. Thank you Junaid Bhai for speaking about this, and for the Flood victims.
Pakistan is facing severe crises, including scams, inflation (over expensive bills for poor service), flood, and so on. The mainstream media is only focused on Political BS. It's nice to have an influencer who talks about these things.

I'm from Taunsa Sharif and we people of Taunsa are very angry that neither this issue is raised by main stream media nor any special measures were taken on it by Government.
If we talk about the situation, many settlements have been completely destroyed, people don't have houses to live in and even food. Some local people, political and welfare organizations and local Madrassahs are trying to provide food and tents etc. to the flood victims, but the destruction has become so much that it is becoming difficult for all these organizations to make such arrangements.

Back when they were taking order for 1650 super, i was about to sell my 1050Ti + collect some money and buy it. thanks to Allah i didn't do it now i'm enjoying 3070Ti which i was able to get from other seller from karachi. He was doing some nasty business too like selling pre ordered cards so expensive and after 15 days. He caught up in his own trap when i told him that ill write this in review. then he sent me the card ~2 weeks early. within 3 days of order which was suppose to arrive in 20 days. Alhamdulillah. and may allah fill lose of you guys inshallah

Allah saved me my gosh, lots of people recommended this guys he looked suspicious from the prices he was offering when I was going to buy a ps5 in 2021, alhamdullilah when I contacted him he didn’t reply when I asked to get one so I got one from sadr market in Karachi. 1. 23 year old is paying someone 2 crore without any due diligence (AAA rating on social media does NOT count as DD).
2. They kept on paying even without getting delivery on first batch.
This clearly shows that this was abba g ka pesa that these idiots just lost to some scammer.
I make way more money than all of these folks but i will not transfer even 20 lac to someone like this without getting my stuff.

A single supplier cant distribute 1 million PS5 in whole country so there are different suppliers who distribute and if a lot comes at karachi port than theres cost to bring it upto peshawar or lahore etc that in addition to service charges increases the cost for customer

I don't know how many of us here are aware of a very simple term known as a Pyramid Scheme. Which is exactly what all of this has been. When youre buying a product unbelievably cheaper than the taxes and original cost of it, it is the biggest indication that something is not right. Everyone including Junaid bhai fell into the trap and should take the L. Paisay to gaye bhai wo nahi milnay ab probably. Take it as a lesson to adopt to better business pratices boys. I dont feel bad for you if you decided to save some money or upsell a product youre some how recieveing much cheaper than the market price knowing that its either smuggled in or is stolen and then end up getting scammed. Hope everyone who lost money did not pour in their life savings into this pyramid scheme and recovers soon.
Finally someone with senses and knowledge about ground reality commented. Besides being biased and solely siding with victims, one should also think about how they ended up in a situation like that.
E-commerce in Pakistan isn't as matured as it is in some other countries, which means there are far less controls and regulations from govt. than there should've been. You need to be very careful in investing when there are red flags like what Baloni1 mentioned e.g. items way cheaper than the regular market prices.
I personally don't see it as a Pyramid scheme, it could've been something like a lost/unclaimed cargo or container where buyer blindly places a bid without knowing the contents inside. Those Zip guys might be purchasing stuff from suppliers like that, just a speculation btw.
May ALLAH give patience and compensate the affected with the highest reward. Aameen
@@haseebhassan1074 I feel like what the guys did is that they offered unrealistic prices with bulk offers and adjusted their overheads and gap in the actual price of products by receiving money from other customers who fell into the trap. Basically shuffling money around and making a name for themselves through the pricing. The burden kept on expanding by receiving more and more orders through time till a point where they had enough money to bail out of the situation and dump the load of their overheads on all the money they accumulated.
What I just described is the text book definition of a pyramid scheme.
Our people need to learn ethical business practices alongside basic understanding of how finance works.
We love the idea of capitalism but aren't willing fo adopt these basic traits and loopholes that come alongside it.
All this is funny to me as a finance major, it's so obvious man. How can someone be this blind and throw their money away without any paper work.
What will the case be based around? I bet money the scammer did not do anything written while making these trades. It's gone, all of their money. That guy is never coming back to the country and be prepared to witness alot more of these things go around in the coming years. Because our people are too egotistical to actually study these things and do proper research instead want a quick cash out.

It is exactly what you called it my brother, Pyramid or Ponzi Scheme named after Charles Ponzi the first one to introduce and implement this scheme offering people high and abnormal rates of profit to people in early 20th century, however, i would suggest and request you not to completely look at it from your point of view only because when practically working and investing with cash in hand, it’s not difficult to fall in this dangerously delusional scheme, keeping in mind Ganji Swag himself fell for it..

Salam. This is so unfortunate and I feel really bad for those who lost their money, for individuals I understand, for business people, I'd say it's the greed of money as this guy told that they offered units at an incredibly low price and everyone wanted to make a fortune out of it. As a nation we have gone very low on ethics. Majority is dishonest. I live in the USA, pre-orders do exists, but no one can simply eat up your money like that as the law comes in action very strictly. Here you can buy something, try this for few days, and if you don't like it, return it and get your full money back. Warranty converges are unbelievably amazing. In Pakistan enforcement of law is so weak and institutions have so much corruption that fraud people find it very easy to escape. This is another example of fraud investment companies as they looted people in the past.

One should never fall in trap of those who sell things below market price. Ziptech is selling ps5 for 120K while a genuine importer is selling it for 170K+.
The normal importer was taking up at least 50k profit at the time. Zip tech was selling a bit above MSRP. It was only below market price because of scalpers.

At the time, PS5s were straight up not available. All over the world, they would sell out instantly. People couldn't even get one console, let alone hundreds to import. But the scalpers were still selling them on Ebay for marked up prices.
Pakistani sellers were just probably just buying from them and selling here. MajorZippy was selling at a loss. He would roll the money around in different businesses, investment schemes etc. He would tne buy the consoles from Pakistani sellers. There is no direct PS5 supplier for Pakistani shops. If there was one, these consoles would't sell for 170k. Zippy was no angel. He just saw an opportunity and made a quick buck.
Ps5s are still hard to come by, but the situation has improved drastically.
