I agree with you, Victoria. This boat is more of a flashy week-ender than a true liveaboard. For a liveaboard cruiser in the same size range and with the same general layout, it would be hard to beat the 2024 Cantius 50. That boat makes me drool...but then so does the occasional Big Mac! For a liveaboard, nothing beats a sailing cat, IMHO. Unless you want a fancy house boat, of course. ;-) A channel I follow crossed the Atlantic on 200 liters of Diesel fuel two years ago - Outremer 55 cat.
@@realulli I think it depends. I have stayed 10 days on a friends 74 Pershing. It was great. We were docked most of the time and only my fiancee and I, but it was not a problem. Kitchen, stateroom and loads of space. We had no problems having friends visiting etc. If we had to stay a month or two, I can't see how it would be a problem. Are there more practical boats in that size? Yes, but they aren't as fun a lot of the time. A Pershing is an island hopper not a big ocean cruiser, but they are still good boats you can spend a lot of time on.

If I spent this kind of money, I'd buy something that can carry me around the world. @@NautiStyles I know you don't have to. And on a 70' boat you're certainly correct - no LJ needed except in the most extreme circumstances. However, I'm not talking about this boat, which is almost 2 million used, I'm talking about boats that are a few hundred grand, maybe a million new. A set of the good self-inflating LJs for everyone on board costs probably less than a trip to the fuel dock. On top of that, they take up less space than the fixed ones. I don't know if you know the clips from Haulover inlet, but I see lots of occasions there when wearing LJs would have been a very good idea (people getting washed overboard, etc.). Very few of these boats are in the 70' class (you can see the occasional Pershing sailing through making everything else look inadequate) but I"m pretty sure they're not cheap.
I guess you didn't notice: Rico and Victoria did not show the crew quarters. The closest we got was a view of the crew head. Was this an oversight on their part? Or were they denied access to this part of the yacht? There are some expectations when you watch the Nautystyles videos.

@Navy1977 ,I prefer displacement type vessels, they can handle a rough sea eg. CDM, Nordhavn, Bering, Selene. I like boats that are more substance than glitz, but it's a personal choice, I live in area surrounded by tough seas.😊

This boat is beautiful, luxurious and fast. But, it looks like an absolute nightmare to maintain! For any major engine work, please tell me that the above deck is relatively, easily removable. I would have so many maintenance questions if purchasing the vessel as a 2nd+ owner. These are fun boats, and the owners want them ready for a day out partying. On an Italian “Speed Boat” are parts readily available in the U.S. ?

That boat is really fast it says. I'm in Missouri so I never been to the right side or East side of Florida but the west side or left side, I've been all over it visiting family there and I love the 😮fishing in Florida but that heat in July and August is something you just need to find out for yourself because it's a eye opener for sure. Getting back to the east side of Florida, how far is it to the Bahamas, like from Miami, Ft Lauderdale or Orlando so us in the middle of the country will know. How many miles do you need to drive to get there to Bahamas and how many hours does it take you to get there. Also, for the slower boats traveling at say 10 nm how long does it take to get from A to B. I'd love to go there but I have to overcome my health first. An where do you park your million of dollar yachts to keep them safe when bad storms are getting ready to hit Florida. Storms like hurricanes and tropical storms. I was in Florida years ago when a bad storm hit us and we was 2 or 3 miles from the ocean and we got flood waters that lasted for several days. But please let me know about distance and how much time does it take to get from A to B. I need to know for when I get to go back to Florida to go fishing one more time. But this time I can't drive there from Missouri to Florida because my health is so much worse since the last time I was there. I miss it down there and the people an the good food. The women were fun too. Love those white beaches.

Pershing's are one of my favorites. I've always said If I were going to buy a yacht it would be a Pershing or a RIVA. lol. Back in, I believe it was around 2015 when the Riva 88 Florida convertible debuted, I fell in love, and I wanted one. lol.
I live near Santa Cruz CA, and believe it or not this qualifies as an affordable liveaboard by Victoria and Rico's standards. Just looking at Zillow, houses around here reasonably close to the water regularly go for well over this price. A good example is a 2 bd, 2 bath, 1400 sq ft house where the asking price is $2.2 million. If I look hard I can find a 75 year old, 836 sq ft bungalow for "only" $1.3 million, but that would probably be smaller than the deck area on this yacht. Other homes in that price range are condos that might be even smaller. The crazier house prices become, the more affordable even a yacht like this will look.

No. You have convinced me of the benefits of a Bering displacement hull explorer. If cost were no object I would have a good sized Bering with a crew and I would live aboard and explore the world. Not interested in big ocean crossings so I'd treat it more super yacht style and fly from BVIs to EU to Asia and use the boat as my living space base for exploring the world.

No. You have convinced me of the benefits of a Bering displacement hull explorer. If cost were no object I would have a good sized Bering with a crew and I would live aboard and explore the world. Not interested in big ocean crossings so I'd treat it more super yacht style and fly from BVIs to EU to Asia and use the boat as my living space base for exploring the world.
