Good luck if you're pulling for Jiu and enjoy the event! After using her, she gets better the more buffs applied to her, so she's good in a team that has Sonetto/An-an Lee and other characters that apply different buffs. Her banner lasts throughout the event, and you get free 10 pulls just for that banner.

It's finally the six month anniversary!! I have to say it's a little surreal that it's been six months. It both feels like the game has been out for way shorter and way longer than six months. Nevertheless, I hope it sticks around for many more months! About all the free stuff: Fun fact, in the CN server, this patch was a Chinese/Lunar New Year event, not a six month one! I can't remember if it also coincided with six months, but even if it did I'm almost certain CNY (I'll use Chinese New Year since that's the term my country uses) would still be the bigger occasion. If you've experienced a Lantern Rite in Genshin you know how big it is, but if you haven't, think to how big Christmas is in Western countries and imagine that but in red and also with Chinese music instead of Christmas. Highlight of the free stuff has to be Madam Z with the red packets/angbao. This is why she's the best adult in the entire game. About Getian: He is the first character since Jessica who I knew I had to pull and although my saving plans went a little sideways with Shamane and Ezra, Ezra was kind enough to not require a single clear drop so I am more than ready to pull him!! I spent most of the event simping over him whenever he was on screen HAHA such a pretty character!! About Chinese pronunciation: As a Chinese person, just follow Jiu Niangzi's pronunciation. All the other characters pronounce some stuff wrongly a few times but Jiu is perfect all the time. She even pronounced the tone!! Nobody pronounces tones! Because of this, if you want to be really accurate with the pronunciation, copy the exact tone she uses as well. Which words she pronounces lowly, which words go "up" and "down". Definitely not a must though, considering it's a bit tricky for people not used to tones and it sounds a little unnatural when using Chinese words when speaking English. Really, just pronouncing the words is good enough! As a side note, I got a little emotional at the end of Jiu's trailer when everyone was calling her name. That's exactly how it's pronounced! Those voices are from my childhood, my daily life!! I like Genshin, but its Chinese pronunciations leave a lot to be desired, so actually hearing Chinese be pronounced the way it should be, tone and all, hit me a lot harder than I was expecting. Oh, and a fun fact about Jiu's name: she mentions in the livestream revealing this patch that the "Jiŭ" in her name means nine, meaning that the specific character used in her name is 九, but the word for liquor in Chinese, 酒, is also pronounced the exact same way, with the same tone! 娘子, which I assume is how "Niángzi" is written, just means lady, so her name can mean "the ninth lady" or "the liquor lady". About the garments: There is actually a reason behind the butterfly! This was revealed again in the livestream, but the garment set is actually based on the story of a Chinese philosopher nanes Chuang Tzu. One night, he went to sleep and had a vivid dream that he was a butterfly. When he awoke and found himself back as a human, he asked himself, "Am I Chuang Tzu dreaming I am a butterfly, or am I a butterfly dreaming that I am Chuang Tzu?" This is why the butterfly appears so prominently and why the name of the trailer is "The Lost Dream"! About pulline for Jiu: As someone who puts meta as a second priority to my overall enjoyment of a character when pulling, I say go for Getian since you like him more! However, if you are someone who cares about meta, you might want to think about it a bit more than that because Jiu is extremely strong. She'll maintain her status as one of the game's best dps for many, many months. Jiu's banner does come with a free 10 pull that can only be used on her banner though, so maybe you'll get lucky in that pull! That's about it for my thoughts on this event. I hope you'll enjoy it and I look forward to seeing you experience it!

I've been using Jiu and I must say she's pretty straight forward and fun to use, and absolutely broken too. She made this limbo a piece of cake for me lol. You have so many pulls, I'd pull for her if I were you, but if you really want Getian, I'd stop pulling in Jiu's banner as soon as you get a six star, wether it's Jiu or not. That way you can still have enough pulls to get the handsome bird man.
Re: Getian He is a second 6 for four character content, but only works well with reality damage teams. He also seems pretty complicated but I imagine it's pretty straightforward once you start using him. I'd just follow your heart after you play the story (jiu niangzu's banner goes until nearly or actually the end of the patch).

I pulled Jiu Niangzi because everyone says she is a strong strong meta character, and I also need a Mineral-afflatus DPS character, and I'm so glad I got her! She does so much damage over time with her additional hits using her "channel"!!
Reminder this is reverse 1st limited banner, jiu will not join standard banner pool after this (only getian and yenisei that join,which mean you will not get her until next year) so in my opinion highly suggest pull for jiu, not just she limited but her kit is literally mineral version of 6 In term kit or skill, jiu is a must pull situation her kit and damage is basicly 6 ultimate but mass attack, and if there is less enemy in battle, the more damage she give (if 2 enemy missing her ult have 100% penetration rate) While getian unfortunately got overshadowed by jiu, he not bad it just he focus more on support rather then damage, and getian kit it self is not something gamebreaking
I'm not pulling Jiu, I'm at the point where i have enough characters that i wont pull for someone even if they are the best at their job unless i also like them as a character ... Especially as a F2P. And Getian won the show so he gets my pulls❤.... His voice is so soft and pretty... 😍 I won't hesitate to simp for him😂

Just a reminder; her banner doesn't share summon counter with others nor the pity carries over. It is a completely standalone banner.
