Thank you so much for covering this case. As someone from Austria this case is very known to me. The worst part nowadays is that he has a lawyer fighting for him to be released due to his old age. I am horrified and pray that he‘ll never be released. The austrian justice system is horrible and has nothing to with justice in my opinion. The fact that there‘s even a slight chance for him to be set free is just wrong.

This case is known here in Germany too. And it is horrific. He still has more freedom and more comfort in prison than his family. His old age should not be an excuse. But that is what they also did here with those who committed crimes in WW2 like their old age erases the suffering…. 24 years…. I actually don’t believe that no one knew. In small German and Austrian towns the neighborhood is always in your business. I can’t believe that they didn’t know. Especially that generation is always invested in the neighbors. I would believe them if they were a younger gen…. The mother and immediate neighbors and friends (especially the one that traveled with him) went off the hook easily. It is terrifying

I’m glad to know that she has a community rallying behind her/protecting her & and her family. And I’m happy that she was able to regain some semblance of her life back and found love. I would be so distrustful of men after going through something like that. Just shows her strength to trust again and try to heal. Maybe there is some comfort since he works in security as well.

Hey Bailey, I've been watching your content since the early days and I have finally muscled up enough courage to open my own channel. I would've never done it without being a fan of your work. You've inspired myself and thousands of others not just by your profound storytelling but also because of your character that is evident in your storytelling. All the work that you do outside of this channel is absolutely remarkable and is also evident in your videos. I thank you on behalf of everyone and the victims on your ability to deliver extremely sensitive topics with the utmost respect. My storytelling is nowhere near as captivating as yours but I'm learning so much from you. My channel may not succeed but you've absolutely changed my mindset for the better. Thank you for being you Bailey!

Thank you for covering this case! It has been haunting me since childhood.
It is such a bizarre and truly disturbing insight into the evilness a human mind can do. I think what baffles me the most, is that we can never really understand how a human being would even think to do something like this to their OWN CHILD!
This case has been so big in the German speaking media for years. I am glad it is finally talked about more in the international true crime community as well.

I think his wife knew a lot more than anybody found out. Women are pretty intuitive and so I feel like after a bunch of babies just started showing up on the doorstep that were apparently their daughters that she sent to them. I’m sure she was suspicious and so I’m sure, she had an idea that something was going on like maybe she didn’t exactly know what was going on, but I’m sure she knew something was up, but she was obviously being abused by him too, so she was too afraid to say anything or do anything

Kinda reminds me of the Wolfpack brothers. The dad kept the family locked away in a tiny NYC apartment for 14 years. If I remember correctly he wouldn’t allow them to go into certain rooms because the neighbors would hear them. Eventually they got out and people found out they’d been locked up for nearly their whole lives.
