Berbatov is so good, that he even won a trophy with Tottenham. Remarkable!
Last man to make spurs win a trophy. They haven't won anything till now
Crazy idiot!
Not a Spurs fan but Keane and Berbatov was a memorable striking partnership - shame it didn't go on longer.
What about Jermaine Defoe!!
@@jlemzii9296 what about him?
Yes great couple epl
Berba was happier at Tottenham
His name is unique..
Like a badass knight from the fifteenth century!
LORD DIMITAR!
Also a deadly finisher.
Love from Bulgaria 🇧🇬❤️
Love from Russia))) Love Berbatov
Played very calm, makes hard tricks looks so easy
This guy was pure genius. It hurt when he went Utd. Still a Spurs legend though #COYS
better than kane by miles and look at how great kane is seen as
deadly dimitar he’s technically better than Kane but as a striker Kane’s miles ahead of him. Stats speak for themselves
deadly dimitar by the way berbatov is one of my top five favo players
nah hes a United legend
To be honest for the first two years he was meh, Tevez suited Utd better and should have stayed. But in 2010/11 dimi came good. Rolls royce of a player not loftus cheek of whom the same is frequently said
Berbatov was like a million times more happy at Tottenham than Man Utd. Maybe because he felt respected by fans and teammates unlike his run at Man Utd. As a Man Utd supporter I wish we would have never bought him because it felt like we were stealing his magic and taking his importance away which sucked. His partnership with Defoe and Keane is simply legendary. Martin Jol was also a lot nicer to him than Ferguson was. I know he wasn't coaching them that last season but still. Things were working perfectly for him and he had the most incredible goals at Spurs.
He wanted accolades that's why he switched to man united cuz he would never have won more trophies staying in Tottenham
@@leo-ss4uz Yeah that's true but sometimes you have to choose happiness over success. Even if Tottenham didn't win any trophies he would still be remembered as their best and greatest player ever. He already had two amazing and incredible seasons with them. At Man Utd there were just running monkeys like Rooney, Ronaldo, Tevez, Nani and Ji-Sung-Park. They played much rougher, aggressive and selfish football where there is not a lot of soccer intelligence involved just endless and mindless marathons on the pitch. Basically run until you lose stamina type of mentality. The chemistry could be odd at times. But still at his first season in the red shirt he had the most assists in the league and then the top goal scorer. That's something to be proud of. I always liked him at Man Utd but Ferguson didn't have a clue how to use him. Berbatov even feels like an attacking midfielder with Bayern and Tottenham. Ferguson and maybe his teammates as well forced him to change style of playing that's not cool. He was so different previously. I felt that Man Utd hindered his career a little bit to be honest. Berbatov wasn't even in the finals against Barcelona that was so ridiculous. Hernandez, Rooney and Owen all got a spot over him. And the attack was not good in that match. Almost like Ferguson was spiting him for some reason. He always chose British players. And Tevez got way more chances and matches despite being a total flop and then joining our rivals.
Crazy touches
Loved him, the kind of player I've always looked up to: smart, skillful and elegant
Such an underrated player, pure class
don't talk out of your ass, how the fuck is he underrated? fucking sick of idiots using underrated.
@@jaycarrUK very underrated indeed maybe the most underrated player in history
A pure artist. 81 bows from Romania.
silent assassin.
his touch was smooth af, ice cold finishing as well
this is becausd when he was a small kid he didnt had footbal ball and he train his touch with basketball ball
So chilled so relaxed and composed stricker. Always looking for the clever finnish rather than power.
He was amazing!!!
Legend Berbatov 🔝👌
Brilliant players brought Ferguson success. Dimitar is a great, great athlete.
Absolutely genius
As a youngster I was so upset when he left I stopped watching prem for at least 2 seasons.
Didn’t get why he left at the time but now I’m older I get why he went Man U at that time.
Big up the Silent assassin ! COYS !
Dimitar Berbatov is a unique player who combined Lechkov's brilliant technique, Gundy's elegance, bounce and head game, Balakov's wide view of the game, Yakimov's unique dribbling, Stoichkov's and Kostadinov's predatory sense of goal, pride for Bulgarian football.
Until today, I still remember his brilliant performance in 2007 season, he was like an idol for me as a teenager then! I used to play football, and he was my inspiration on the field besides Alessandro Delpiero 💙
I am still young I do not know this person but after this video I think he is a legend
He when Manchester United and do same
His skills is world class but his from bulgaria that why dont get enough recognition
Made it looks effortless, elegance player. The art of first touch, positioning and finishing.
Mistreated by Fergy at MU as he later stated completely regretting that.
Unique player, Dimitar Berbatov
He is like a magician on the pitch. So unpredictable, so witty, so clever, so intelligent and wise with ball. Amazing vision, technique, balance, teamwork, influence, stamina, speed, dribbling, flair, ball control and creativity too. Felt like watching an artist at his best work. Favorite striker and soccer player of all time. I'm so glad I grew up watching him play and not this greed generation of football ugh. As guilty I felt of Man Utd as a supporter of them from stealing him from Tottenham I was still so happy that I got to witness his greatness being performed in the red shirt at the Red Devils. So incredibly talented and skillful. Almost like God himself entered the field. He was an inspirational legend at every club he played at. His charisma, composure and presence is unmatched. Absolute masterclass.
Berbatov showed how much technical abilities and the reading of the game can make up for the lack athleticism some of the forwards today have. Was heralded back in his days but his quality would have been worshipped just a generation of football players earlier.
What a wonderful person. What a classic player. Always a treat to watch him play.
Makes everything look so easy that goal against West Ham
He is genius player. I think he is legend of spurs
I honestly can't think of a single similar player today, can anyone else?
Ilicic
@@Phatom300 that's a great shout
Zidane, cruyf
eveyone notice his third goal on Reading ? his got his first touch whem was kid he dont had money for football ball and few first years he play with basketball ball. tht why his touch is brilliant
My fav player in premier league growing up , what a player ,control , composure , coolness , calmness ,you dont find these things in forwards today
Dimitar BerbaTOP!
GREAT PLAYER
Deceptively strong and quick. Great footballer and beautiful to watch
Great spurs team! Some true Tottenham legends
Absolute class
I remember once against united Berba just dragged the ball from mid air rotating about 90 degree and placed it in his path and took a shot.
He pass two defender easy then take a shot, right
10 seconds in... I miss this team! This was the start of the revolution
Yeh the team Lennon bale on wings Keane was wicked to carrick and luka mod king
@@jarvismarvis8900 how on earth did we not win the league we had a bloody great center back too in Ledley king (I know he was injured a lot)
Despite his move to utd and the fall out with Martin jol he was my favourite player at lane hands down classy, great football brain, goals, magical feet had me at times open mouth🔥🔥legend at spurs for me COYS
Finnest player ever 💎
Wish you included his cup goals, most of those were better. My favourite was the one against Besiktas away.
My favorite was against Chelsea in the Carling cup final😍
for the time he played in and the time playing... he sure was a good striker
very great player 👏
No wonder he is called the God of First Touch....
Spurs were incredibly enjoyable to watch the 2 seasons he played there. Some amazing games and goals
Such a sprited spurs team..I remember those years..
He made it all look so easy.
Realmente muy bueno Berbatov te recordamos goleador
the best first touch in the world ever
Another gem that lit up the lane, the first touch left you thinking how did he do that, his anticipation made him lethal elite baller
His first year at spurs was such a lift, I loved the long hair and flair he had following the disappointment of not making the top 4 the season before. I remember his first goal in the UEFA Cup, we knew he was something special. Its a shame the midfield was lacking then, some of the players that came in after him would have worked wonders with him, like dembele, ericksen, son etc. Spurs were such an interesting team, some great talent like bale and modric alongside a lot of average players such as jenas, huddlestone, O'hara etc. Often lacked that little bit extra in midfield in that era.
I met this guy in bulgaria in varna. Very nice guy
Last of the Bergkamp kind. Top top player.
I like it him 😍
I love Berbatov.💓
Could really use him right now
Brilliant footballer , was not your typical forward every run or touch led to a goal.
Can we have Berbatov back before tomorrow's deadline? :D Nevertheless, what a striker he was. One of the players who inspired me to support this club. The flair and the style of Tottenham attracted me a lot during those days.
Definitely had his best form for Spurs I thought. Plus he did really well in European Cup games. Can’t remember if it was champions league or uefa cup but he nailed it in most competitions for spurs. At United I felt like he wasn’t the same.
Spurs never play in Champions League back then...
@@rvp1 UEFA Cup
Agreed at united he is a bit slower but still classy.
Legend
As a Bulgarian it makes me sad Berbatov is the last classy Bulgarian football player who was criticized more in his own country than in the UK where people actually loved him at some point.
When Andy Garcia play at Tottenham :D
The calmest striker
berbatov and bergkamp should have been a duo back in the day... nigthmare for defenders!!!
[like adriano and hulk sprinting towards you...]
Poor joy to have watched him live at Tottenham gd , head and foot of a God, yes that gd
Keane + Berba = 🔥🔥
Bulgaria🇧🇬💪💪🤩
Such a joy…..!!
Berbatov = Riquelme
Both always seemed like the most they were willing to do was just jog around on the pitch. But in many games they were the best player on the pitch.
Both great artists but Berba definitely fitted in the modern system better than Riquelme. Just that Man U was one of the last place he should've gone to.
This guy an dribble and score and work out a way for spurs with his timely run and pass
They called him lazy but his vision and skill was on another level immense just give him the ball and he would do the rest.
Berba not only United legend he is totenham legend too
Wonderful footballer…
Spurs fan here (Obviously) and I share my birthday with Berba so i love the guy😂❤
one of the best
The streets will remember this Tottenham side, some great football
What a legend!! I also love being in be of the first few likes and comments
I follow Arsenal, and even though it pains me to say this. World class striker
It would be weird if you didn't think he was good. That's just ignorance and stupidity. One of the most magical players to have ever graced the game with his presence. Legendary striker, better than Persie and Bergkamp.
Berba and Keano - the last partnership that won a trophy for Tottenham.
Man I miss this Tottenham
I still can't get is how somebody can say that Harry Kane is better than Berbatov.. no it's not! Berbatov and Roby Kean is the best-attacking duo in Spurs History.
He is the TaiChi master of football
Legend of the game
I don't even understand how can spurs fan still love him.
He made it look so easy.
Legends 🔥
I'm so convinced by his ability he could probably still do a job as Kanes back up lol
smoothest operator
He's a Manchester United legend point blank period
he's a legend of both( i think more with spurs)
@@vaskopoh9512 well he played for United longer and still is interviewed on untied and attend the games and sits with the lads talking at half time abou the game . He had no devotion to spurs after he left hes a United legend period
Inhouse commentators riuning the immersion
Saludos Tottenham desde Mexico
Viva Mexico, Viva Bulgaria oooleee! 😃😃😃👍👍👍🍀🍀🍀
