Clump Fab springs to mind for all of the welding, but it’s an amazing project. Can’t wait to see what progress you guys make on it. Those wheel trims are amazeballs. As long as it’s dry and rot free inside, keep it as a camper, they’re like rocking horse poo 💩
They are both really nice, if they were mine I would certainly keep the camper as original as possible it is very rare and desirable, the mk 1 looks good with original arches I'm sure there were some decent after market wide rim steel wheels that fitted to a standard van, the floors are relatively easy and quick to fabricate and weld, all the best.
Keep the camper as a camper. Although I'm not a member have you contacted the transit owners club? Classic vehicle club members are a hive of advice, inspiration and support. Also for sheer inspiration for what's possible have you ever watched Cortina city on RUclips? His mk3 cortina's are as bad if not worse than your blue van. Please ignore any immature/unhelpful comments you might get. Some bemoaners never get out of their armchair let alone go into a garage. I've never seen your channel before, have liked and subscribed. Keep the faith and very best of luck with both projects.
@@davidsclassicfords7094 think Thsts the best decision mate if am honest they do rate abs if you go silverstone or to shows you can stay over night in it for very little money wise decisions 😉😉👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Definitely keep it as a camper I personally think the old transit campers have so much style really nice it would also be great to see you your dad Marcus and cat mich etc at a meet all having a cuppa ☕🫖🥤in the camper but whatever you decide to do I'm sure will be good 👍
Interested to see what you guys do with these vans..would prob have to let thing chassis an all that to make a recovery truck..would make a nice pick up truck….best of luck whatever you do🏴👍🥶
I will never forget the time my brother had the shits in dads Mk1 Transit Camper. He sprayed the inside of the windscreen while Mum was changing his nappy and Dad ran into the back of an Asian gentleman’s Datsun 120Y.
To be honest i would find another mk1 in better condition and use that one as a donor van it is too far gone i would say but good luck with it whatever you do though.
The blue one is way to rotten, m2c. I would scrap this one and safe the good parts. I wrecked way better ones. Whow If you start this blue van you will need another live
It nice to see a young lad interested in these old vans, keep up the good work
Thanks rob👍
