#SharedMomentswithJustus #usa #america #usarmy #southsudan #blacklivesmatter From the war-torn country of South Sudan, Africa, Nyajuok grew up between two refugee camps in Ethiopia, where she faced many cultural norms and practices that deprived her rights as a child. Shortly after her family moved to the United States of America, Nyajuok found herself in another war when her family forced her into an arranged marriage at 14 years old. Against all odds, Nyajuok overcame these obstacles, put herself through college, and commissioned in the United States Army and became a champion of resilience. Nyajuok’s dream is to impact lives, bring hope, healing, and transformation by empowering, inspiring, and motivating others to live their own life and dream big despite their environment. She has written a book titled I AM MY MOTHER'S WILDEST DREAM that illustrates her life story. A true inspiration from an African point of view. Telling our own stories the best way we can to transform our generation. Thank you for sharing your story and inspiring the world. Keep it real keep it authentic keep it shared Moments with Justus!
Nyajuok your story is so inspiring! Army was the best job for u coz u are a fighter....always fighting back with anything u have coz no one will fight for u. Not when culture has conditioned misogyny in the minds of our men who think we are worth nothing.
That was deep, all they do is gossip about each other trials and tribulations. I see it everyday, no wonder when our children go to study they run far away from our settings.
A true inspiration of an African teen who broke her silence and fought cultural norms to live the American dream 👍 I was really inspired by your book and enjoyed the book launch at American Corner, Moi University in Nairobi. #NyajuokDoluony #SouthSudanReadingSociety
Beautiful girl with the best of intentions. Views come from one's experience and interpretation. We could have a real long discussion on a lot of her points. Some a surely on point others are just interpretation that is not the only view.
Very brave to open up about your experiences. Indeed you have come out victoriously. Very impressed about your courage. You have a lot in life ahead of you. Still very young. Keep the resilience.
5 minutes in, would love to watch the video but I just ordered the book! It arrives tomorrow! Can’t wait!!!!!!!! ❤️ I know it will be a good one. Sending love and hugs! I can tell you are a beautiful soul just from 5 minutes watching you. Be blessed
What a powerful story - PTSD and CPTSD are really important to understand - when you have abuse growing up its hard to make healthy choices as an adult - thank you for sharing it - you inspire us to put pen to paper and share
U earned me as a subscriber after watching u interviewed by MS Kagoni. Glad to be here and already watching life stories though backwards from latest🤭🙌🏾🥰
Now you understand that there is more to life than freedom. Our parents despite being in an arranged marriage, they have enjoyed long lasting marriages. Our parents rarely suffer mental illnesses compared to those who boast of having lived the American dream. What is the need of freedom if we are going to hop from one marriage to another and end up living single life? Is the mental illness justification for freedom? We complain of child marriages yet engage in relationships as minors and end up have children outside marriage as minors. Isn’t this hypocritical? We want freedom from our relatives yet take our kids back to them for care. I don’t want to sound judgmental but I believe Africans have the best culture that need strengthened. We should also emulate positive values from other cultures.

The video is not clear at all. You struggle to listen.
Be positive at least you will pick up one or two things .
