I'm glad they saved the historical village. My cousin Vic Gibbs helped with the construction, and his wife Shirl volunteers there. It means a lot to our family.
Hi Paul, your tours are a class above the TV Networks. Most informative, before and after shots and your overall narration. Mother nature can be beautiful/brutal in a heartbeat. Great work Brother. Continue to be Safe
We were up from Adelaide driving through Blanchetown, Waikerie, Berri, Renmark, Loxton and Swan Reach yesterday. Thought we would see if we could get to the Tree of Knowledge. The road where Paul is on @4:13 is as far as you can go and the Tree of Knowledge and Giant Pelican is still 450m away. Thank you so much for all your videos. It's great to hear and see a locals perspective. We are just in shock at how high (and wide) the water has risen, just insane! Have never seen this much flooding before. I hope the waters recede soon and we'll come up again in a month or so to check it out.
It is astounding how little coverage this gets in the Adelaide TV news. Apart from the devastation it is for many people, you would think that such a large 1 in 50 event would demand greater attention! It's not as if there is not enough video of it by you and others. And yet there are some in Adelaide who have no idea of what is happening in their own 'back yard' and have not even heard of the flood situation.
It was the same in Victoria unfortunately. An initial news item a few months ago but sadly nothing since. Plenty of businesses and homes in Mildura still impacted but no talk of it. Let’s hope this all passes through over the next few months and people can get their lives back on track. An amazing amount of water.
Not many surprises. I drove over those Lyrup flood-plain tracks when getting vantage points for photographing a PS Marion voyage. Was the bridge under water at Berri the main river crossing, or the one on the flood-plain approach from Loxton, over a creek which is navigable for tinnies. The Berri jetties are floating pontoons. Are the Loxton ones fixed (and hence underwater).
The bridge by booky Hill is under water. I think the loxton pontoons still move but not as much as everywhere else. They seem to go under with every flood
Blood hell mate, just hope it be a 4 or more months then it be back to normal. Good music I also have looked at using NCS song form their channel/site free to use and just got to mention there song name and that when downloaded from there site. If you never heard of them there NoCopyRightSounds, few good tunes in there to use mate overall its good to keep up to news what's going on your neck of the state.

Thanks so much for sharing, incredible amounts of water, excellent coverage, take care
Enjoying these updates
Went up to my block at Castles Landing yesterday- it’s got to be a good 6-7 meters under water

Yeah it's incredible. I've never seen it like this in my lifetime. It's sad but beautiful aswell seeing that nature will always be in control
That’s a lot of water paul. I hope it drops down quick for you. Thanks for the updates and love your videos. 👍👍
Thanks mate 👍 luckily it's dropping pretty quickly

This is why I'm doing it 👍

Blows my mind how much water you guys have there. Not just the amount but for so long now.
Still got months before it's back to normal
@Camping downunder that's insane man.
Great video mate. Just look at katarapko😢
Yeah it's killing me not being able to head out there any weekend I like
Looks the same as lock 1 at Blanchtown
👍
What does your hilux average on fuel economy? And what size tyres you running?
I'm lucky to get 400km to a tank & running 31's
@Campingdownunder cool thanks for that so it's not to horrible considering your set up,
Considering how heavy it is lol
@Campingdownunder how do you go with dust sealing the canopie and would you go to tray or tub set-up for the weight saving?
My canopy is home made so doesn't seal that well & made from steel. I'd much prefer an alloy tray and canopy to reduce weight

Thanks mate 👍 I actually get all my music through epidemic sound. Huge selection 👌
@@Campingdownunder Yer there sure is mate. just gotta save some cash my end to do the yearly payment for them. then i can do mix from there and NCS.
I just pay $15 per month
@@Campingdownunder Is that in AUD or USD ?
AU it's not very expensive
Loxton, God's country.
Reminding on other social media.
I once lived on the island between Paringa and Renmark; Causeway Island, good times 1972.
I guess it may have totally flooded? No drone footage so far.
I did do a video on renmark. Yeah the island is completely flooded. Some spots are hard to get to with the drone as you can't drive close enough
where is the peak of Murray at now roughly?
Around Blanchetown I last heard
