Sweet! But is it better than the stock '23 Yam ? I really like the coated forks and bigger coated shock shaft and more than just a clutch cover. Would be nice if it came with full Hinson slipper.
That's the million dollar question. No Yamaha 450Fs avail near me! Sold out. -Ohio
Need 250 versions!!
I scrolled through the comments to see if anyone was going to mention this. Honestly, 99% of the weekend warriors don’t “need” a 450. A ported, polished and re-mapped 250 would fly off the showroom floor and would probably be competitively priced with the KTM factory editions which don’t have a single engine modification over stock aside from a slip-on.
Honda gang 🔥🔥🔥😎
Love it. Sounds pretty refined. Makes pros go faster.
Grab one while ya can! -Ohio
I have Racetech suspension and a custom ECU had the Yosh now have a PC exhaust and am still into it a grand less than my dealer wanted for the WE. I wonder if I got a deal or not in the long run but I wasn’t waiting 2 months for a WE anyways.
Who did you ecu and how do those exhausts compare to one another?
@@NickW90 it’s a twisted development ECU and the biggest difference is the PC pipe has a smoother power curve and deeper rumble. The Yoshimura kind of comes on strong in the middle to top more and has a raspy like metallic sound that I didn’t like as much granted it’s not the same Yoshimura that WE had I guess that pipe is a little different.
@@NickW90 I’ve been told by many people to have XPR do the motor and ECU so eventually if I keep it that long when it needs rebuilt I plan to try them out as well. I rode a 22 CRF250 with an XPR engine a few months back and it was very impressive unlike any Honda 250f I’ve ever rode. It had more bottom end than some of the 450s I’ve had over the years and a ton of RPM to spin up as well.
@@jonruger awesome thanks for the reply man. I was looking at a pc pipe for my 23 R model but heard a few bad reviews. And ya i have a vortex ecu from my 250 i was debating on sending to xpr.
Have you had any issues with your vortex from twisted? I bought theirs for my 19 250r but after a while i had a few separate occasions where the bike would die like it ran out of fuel and after putting the stock ecu back in, i never had the issue come back. I’ve heard a few of the same situations happen to others. It’s making me want to just get my stock ecu remapped this time
@@NickW90 not yet but I only have maybe 8 hours on the new ECU. And yeah pipe is really all personal preference I think they can tune the Map to run however you want to I imagine now a days. Even the guy at Racetech told me to go to XPR for engine work when I asked them about possibly doing it, he said they are the leader in Honda performance right now.
On the fence with purchasing this one or a KX450 SR
Keefer that header is stainless
Yep
No reason to do a top end at 50 hours on a Honda 450.
Is it really worth $13k though? I'm not a Honda guy whatsoever..not bikes & def not there vehicles! I like this bike though. -NY #F150Raptor
"Polished"
"Yeah, Okay."
How many years are we going to keep refining 450s and ignore the desperate need for a 350 market
The 2019 works edition Honda was the best looking one!
2020
should come without stickers BLANK and YAMAHA should take note
The bike lost power and has less damping. Somehow the media wants to say otherwise. The bikes are at a point that metering the power teh right way is more important than power. By making less power it wont pull through second into third as fast…there is no other way to “extend” power than to have less.
Interesting. Is the Yamaha 450 & KTM truly much better? -Ohio
