2023 Honda CRF450RWE Garage Build Project Bike

- For our latest garage build, we picked the 2023 Honda CRF450RWE. At the highest end of the price range today we want to take this bike to the next level. Honda has a very good starting platform, but the chassis can be a little harsh and over-aggressive at times. The goal was to make the bike a little more forgiving in the choppy areas and calm down the cornering aspect to get more straight-line stability, but we didn’t want to lose Honda’s tried-and-true front-end steering feel.

My 23WE was valved way too stiff from the factory, but nothing wrong with that fork. All the Showa needs is valving and maybe springs depending on your weight. I just did mine using JBI’s pro fork kit and the results are amazing. Only took a few hours and some basic tools. Before spending thousands on a KYB swap spend the $300 to valve it properly.
He’s great to deal with too. He’s super helpful and works just as hard for your $50 sale as he does a $15,000 sale
@@jdatwood7086 He’s probably the best customer service I’ve dealt with on bike stuff. Nailed it on the first try and even called to follow up. Good dude and his kit is quality.
If you like how the kyb is plush initially on yamaha and want your showa like that check out ride jbi. The yamaha since like 2018 or so is leaf spring midvalve. JBI converts showa to same type leaf spring midvalve . Personally im on a 21 kx450f and went with jbi profork revalve. Super happy with it. Ive had alot of different suspension setups from many different shops and its my favorite of them all plush with good holdup and excellent bottoming resistance very similar to blackjack inserts I had on my previous 2019 ktm 450.
I ran a similar set up on my '22 CRF250R with KYB A-Kit... Valving usually needs tweaking from the factory settings, but once dialled in, KYB has great components for 99.9% of riders, with good initial plush feel, hold up and bottoming resistance. Overall, I think it helps with the Honda's twitchy characteristics.
How many freaking bikes does Eddie have? He’s got a garage build bike features like every 3 months haha
I like cross bars too.😀 yes, ✅ it’s old school. ✊💨
I had my stock 23 tuned down a bit a RWE would have been cool but I didn’t think I was fast enough for one.
Maaaaaan that thumbnail had me FKED UP! Thought jcoop was headed to Honda lmao
what happened to your kx450sr?
If they made a CRF350R I would be all over it. My son has the 23 CRF450R and it's way too much.
That’s 🔥 damn
If I could justify the $$$$ I'd buy a new bike
KX 250 E-1 production rule two stroke
Now rumors is that Keefer himself puts that Z- throttle tube on his bikes, but not much info about them? Anyone tried them out, what do mr.keefer think himself about them?
I had one on my 21 Honda CRF450R. You have to cut the bars but it made the throttle pull similar to the KTM's! Super nice feeling.
@@jake981 I will definitly invest in one
@@mikebrown41182 If you do email Keefer since he has a discount code!
What spring rates he using?
Why would you need to spend another 10k on yore brand new 2023 WE if your a vet rider if your not racing competitively
So far I have purchased 3 2018 crf450 for a grand total of 12k$ they were all pre owned but all had oem chain an sprockets
Do these guys care about depreciation also I am a vet rider who loves Smokin the young guys with 2023 450s with A kit suspension
On my 4000$ crf450! Lol
WTF IS WITH THE 720P?!
Not a bad way to spend 25 grand
You’re joking right?lol
