What’s interesting about Calgary is that the weather up in Edgemont can be completely different from Sundance (just southeast from Evergreen). They tend to definitely have more wind than we do…even though we’re closer to the southern Alberta wind tunnel (Crowsnest Pass). Best affordable lake community? Midnapore. Its beach faces west so it gets the afternoon sun whereas Sundance has a hill in the way & gets shaded. Also our lake is colder. Both Sundance & Midnapore have a cross section of housing types & schools, close to entertainment and best of all, Fish Creek Provincial Park.
It’s true. There have been times it’s lightly snowing around Edgemont & Citadel, raining around the UofC and sunny down south lol. Our city can see some strange weather patterns. 😂
Although I have long been a Calgarian for more than 30 years without intent to sell my house I still enjoyed your video because I have rare chance to walk around so many great communities.
Amazing. Thank you Alvin for watching and commenting. We will keep creating and showing you more of the city. If we can help anyone you know here in Calgary we’d be so grateful! 🙏🏼
Fabulous content!! This is so helpful!! Thanks so much! I have subbed! Altadore is extra amazing and ranks as my absolute favourite in this list of neighbourhoods but they all have amazing perks and beautiful homes. The outdoors are so lovely and I have long been sold on walking communities and all that's offered in this type of community. I love what looks like great areas to walk and get out as a family and have fun and as a couple too!! Thanks so much for the amazing info!! Cheers from Vancouver (Kitsilano).🙂
The best neighbourhoods in YYC in no particular order are •Inglewood •Kensington •Mardaloop/Altadore • Lower Mt.Royal • Mission be on the watch for Sunalta soon
@@ChamberlainGroup very true, obviously I'm more for the inner city because accessibility to entertainment, unique restaurants, and shops in the trendy areas. Even if I had a family I would stay inner city, because the energy is different than the burbs which I lived in for years. To each their own as they say
@@cedricnicholson7446 I'm in total agreement with you! I've met a few families that regretted selling their intercity homes for ie Sundance once having kids
I highly enjoy watching and learning from your videos. Thank you! It would be so helpful if your music is just a little softer so I don't have to turn it up when you talk and down when your cool music is playing 😅😅 thank you again! Still deciding if we want to make our move from YVR to YYC🤔🤔

Thank for this video. Me and my wife are moving to Calgary from Toronto this month itself. Would love to connect with you as we would be looking into properties in while we rent in downtown.
My husband and I will be moving to Calgary in the spring. Is there any way you could do a “best area for 55+” video? We want to do our research and will definitely contact you as your videos are the most informative! Thank you!!!
What amenities and lifestyle would you be looking for? There are so many ways to take it from price point, style of homes, amenities needed and so much more!

Thank you so much. Altadore is an incredible area. And we LOVE Kitsilano. The Jam Cafe is a favorite of ours!!!
@@ChamberlainGroup The Jam Cafe is amazing! I am thrilled that you have visited and that you love that part of Vancouver! Cheers!
Great coverage! Edgemont is indeed a fantastic community with schools like Churchill high in its radius!!

This is a great list, but it truly depends on why these are the best neighborhoods… Not everyone would agree as everyone’s needs are different.
Funny, but you don't look like a hippy.

Please make videos on deep South like Walden, Chaparall and Legacy!
Absolutely. Why there? What info are you looking for?
Ride bike to downtown all year round from Hillhurst? How about during the snowy winter?😅
Throw some studded tires on and keep going. Many do it!
Great information, looking to move to Calgary soon.. thanks

We did. From Ontario to Mahogany Calgary. Way cheaper homes, better quality of living. There were about 5 families we know made this change.
If there is any way we can help, please reach out!

Sorry. I don't need to keep up with the Jones. I am happy living in the north east. Take care.

Are there any channel, like this one , about BC neighborhoods?
I like Citadel NW more than Edgemont NW.
Citadel is a great area!
“If having a family is your thing…” You've got to be kidding about that statement! 😔
+ROMAÆTERNA I’m sorry if there was any offense taken. Wasn’t meant to be that way at all. 🙏🏼
basically anywhere other than SE and NE ...lol you dont need to watch a 10 minute video explaining this lol
Thanks for commenting! This video was just featuring a few communities but there are so many more… and Lake Bonavista is actually in the SE. 😉
What happen to your wrist? Anyways, thanks for the info. Be very careful next time.
Thank you for asking… I had a downhill biking accident in Whistler earlier this summer and had to have surgery on it early August.
