Lot of people have asked me several questions such as whether dividend paying stocks are safe, or whether they can give regular income from stock market for long-term. So in this video, I talk about the power dividend paying stocks and how dividends offer consistent income to it's investor without any hassle of worrying about the stock price fluctuation.
Dividends are small but if you stay invested in any stock for about 10 years, then the small dividends will offer much more returns than any fixed deposit that exist in India. So fixed is not an investment but a poor way of managing money.
If you want to achieve financial freedom early then you must buy cashflow producing assets and dividend paying stocks are on the top of the list.
In this video, I talk about some Indian stocks that pay dividends and companies that have been paying dividends for longtime. For example, Hindustan Unilever has been offering dividends since last 12 years.
You get salary from one company but your stock portfolio can give dividends from 10-15 companies. So in the long run, dividend investors take very less risk and enjoy more consistent income.
Dividend growth investor is very unpopular in India. So we'll talk about this concept in much detail when I'll talk about my FIRED strategy (Financial Independence and Retire Early through Dividends).

Very helpful Video, lot of retail investors will learn from this, I request you to make video on, how one should believe in company's performance and not in others advise, as I've seen lot of my friends lost money in F&O, also in investing in stocks without studying the revenues, Borrowings, pledge etc., So my question is how one should not panic and hold it for longterm, example - ITC, longterm investors know that this will burst in future with demerger and also pays good dividend. but people like us who have very less knowledge tend to loss patience and sell it off and repent it later. same happened with me in Borosil renewables, I had firm believe that this would go high, I had purchased it on 36rs. and my friend told and convinced me to sell it around 79rs. and today the price is more than 300, so I lost in because of friends advise even though I had strong belief in the company. so how we can avoid wrong advises in the market.

Very few stocks give dividend Yield of more than 5%
agree with you sir i agree dividend are good but the yields are very low and the main problem of indian market is liquidity issue some time i think that all are at youtube promoting zerodha and others they just market or advertise stock market brokers for client making or business generation

The problem with dividends starts when you're a high income individual ( 20-30% tax bracket)... Because dividends are now taxed as per tax slab rates
when you pay taxes you get your taxed dividents back

Your idea is wonderful. Though I am old, I started investing in shares very recently. While studying the companies’ financials, I realised that many companies pay good dividend. One need not wait many years only for appreciation of investment. I have also noticed that many PSU, especially in petroleum and coal have low stock prices, but their dividend rates are unbelievable! Probably, that’s because the government also wants dividend not capital appreciation! Many thanks for this very instructive video.👌👍
Coal and petroleum are prices low with high returns because it's a non renewable energy and future is diminishing
Now it looks good investment. Maybe not coal. But petrol still have good years in it.
But then after 10 years solar and other energy sources will take over. And someone then will lecture that it was a bad idea to invest on those high dividend stocks.
I think making sense of past data is easy. But to predict future is tricky. FMCG shares are already overpriced.
