In my opinion best regular income from market is SWP from mutual funds after you built a good corpus. If you expect 12% annual returns withdraw 6-9% split into 12 months and you won’t run out of the original fund either.
FD can give 75000 per month risk free return considering a anual yield of 9% after 5 Years of initial deposit period . it is better not to play around with high amount of money in stock market considering poor GeoPolitical scenario now . also to make sure to keep FD is SBI or Axis Bank only as these two are solid ones . HDFC has big hole of hidden NPA which is too risky .

if dividend income is your goal, why not invest in secured bonds. Diversify your investment in different companies and you can get stable 10% return and the risk is less than stocks
I kinda make around 95000 per year from dividend income but the loss in share values do compensate for gain in some cases. Although companies like Vedanta pays good dividend but stock is likely to remain range bound. Same is applied to ITC if we ignore the rare situations of bull market. So we need to trade off between annual stock return and dividend yield.
Vedanta is value trap, it will remain range bound because there's no margin expansion, as the business is mostly a mining business. It also depends on market cycles, and is gravely dependent on countries like China.
All the dividend income received are taxable and the TDS rate of 10% is charged if the dividend income paid is in excess of Rs. 5000. If the investor's annual income is below the exemption limit then he can submit the form 15G/15H for not deduction of TDS

Excellent presentation with clear explanation. Kindly clarify Will the dividend yield will change? Is dividend yield comes from profit or it is the interest given by the company?
Dividend Yield is a formula. The Company Management decides what % of Profit to payout as Dividend The Shareholders decide what the Share Price should be So to answer your first question, there are 2 factors involved, and no single entity decides what the Yield will be Secondly, Div comes from Profit, not Interest. If a company was duping its investors by paying Dividend and adding to its interest cost, it would get hammered by its Shareholders and the Regulator itself. Cheers,
