Here's another way to make a snub end scroll. Fold over the end of the bar the create the mass for the ball end. Forge weld it, the shape it how ever you like. If you want more mass, fold over a longer end, forge weld, then upset it over the edge of the anvil until square then forge the round end.
Im only using a propane forge not sure if i can reach welding heat,do you think it could still work ? Also just wondering what fuel you use in your forge. I live in sheffield and not sure where to get hold of and what type of coke / fuel to try in the coke forge cheers mate ⚒⚒
Work smarter not harder the old boys used what they had available do you think they would not have taken short cuts they had bills to pay like the smiths today 👍
