I'm 72 and lost my Dad 43 years ago, how I wish I could talk with him again..He and Mom are resting together now..I talk to them, everyday. Sure do miss them.
58 year old male. Lost my pops several years back. The pain is still there. I will never forget the phone call from the doctor at the hospital. I was a wreck for days. We had our differences, yet I loved the old guy. Great song.
Many moons ago when I was working executive protection for another entertainer, I had the blessing of meeting Harold and over the years I met him more and more in different places, he never forgot my name, not my sir name and not my working handle. I had the fortune to take my mom to Twitty City with his invitation; she got to meet one of her favorite legendary singers and had the best 3 days of her life. Harold wrote many songs under his real name and sang them; something most don't realize. He was a true friend and like Charlie Daniels; will always be missed.
This song messes with me so bad I never had anyone to fill that position so songs like this bring me to tears especially after I was told I can't have kids 😢
I met Conway because my Dad and he were in the same industry at the time (not music). I miss my parents very much and this song always reminds me. Peace, Love!!
The band "Bread" has a song that makes me cry every time I hear it.. . .. "EVERY THING I OWN" The lead singer wrote this song about his dad when he died from a heart attack.. He will give everything he owns just to have his dad back. He will give up his life his heart and his home to have his dad back.. Its a beautiful song.. It just hits me hard because my dad died when I was 18. I can relate to the song.. if you haven't reacted ro this song before.. it is song worth listening to.
My dad was my best friend. We lost him in 2015. This song fit him so well. I once asked him why he didn't come back from Vietnam messed up like so many other service men and to told my he couldn't because he had a family to take care of. I'm 61 and still miss him every day.
Conway Twitty was the best. Please do more Conway Twitty songs. How about "It's Such a Heartache", "Who Did They Think He Was", or "A Bridge That Just Won't Burn."
Conway was a huge success in country and had numerous hits. His soft country hits like this song, Hello darlin, and The Rose are stunning. But....Conway also had his sexy side. Try these, I'd Love to Lay you Down, Tight Fitting Jeans, You've Never been this far Before, and Slow Hand. I think you know where these last few songs are going. Lol.
My first time hearing this song and it's but me hard. Why? My Father is 95 and wants to join Mom in Heaven....I feel just like young man. Tears are streaming. I moved back to Houston for their last years 11 years ago and it's been a difficult but precious time and I'm so glad I'm here. 💜
Baseball. Twitty also played baseball, his second passion. He received an offer to play with the Philadelphia Phillies after high school, but he was drafted into the U.S. Army before he could sign the contract.
Music and poetry are a simple path toward healing our lives of constant estrangement-- so happy to witness the value of good messages on your generation... You are encouraging the trend, my hope is that genuine feelings become the future of current music.
Ace, I cry at all love or sad songs. 😢. Maybe cause I'm 74. And so old. I saw Conway in Houston in the late 60s at a small club. & Believe me he sang for 2 hours. 💔💔🎶🎶🎶🎶
I feel so blessed to have found you Ace. You're a special young man to be able to feel through these lyrics and music, to the extent that you do. I say this with wisdom, I'm 78.
I love this song my stepdad was in my life since I was 2 so I don't really remember him not being there my real dad gave his rights up to my sister and me but my stepdad was always there and I miss him a lot so this song reminds me of my stepdad cuz he was my dad more than my real dad ever will be
I bumped heads with my Dad when I was a teenager because I knew everything so it shouldn't have come as any surprise that my own stubborn boy would rebel on me. I suppose its the natural order of things. Love my Dad,RIP and my son is now 30 and a man and we're in a really good place
I highly recommend, watching, I Believe, by Brooks & Dunn. A young man spent time over the years with a neighbor who'd lost his son and wife and would join them, too. Black gentleman, white boy. I do believe you'll appreciate song and the accompanying video.
Great reaction. Funny thing, I'm 35 years old and I still call my father "daddy". I never thought anything of it until I was like, 33. When someone commented on me calling him daddy in public. Lol fk wat they think. That's my daddy. ❤
You'll find if you categorize the songs through our the year that you'll end up with an appropriate set list for special occasions the following year.Youll have a group for fathers Day, memorial Day ect Call your dad Cats in the cradle works in reverse too.😂😂
A great heartfelt reaction. I’m approaching 70 years of age and lost my dad 30 years ago. I tear up every time I hear this. I miss him so much.
Me too
I’m 69 and my Daddy passed away in November 1999 at age 86, when I was 44. I’ll always miss him.
I had that kind of relationship with my mom. And I'm crying as I type this.
You are wise beyond your years! Your dad would appreciate a call from you! Please do it!

So glad you did this one, listening to the older country gives you a feel for what country was

Music today is more about material items. We react so strongly to music like this because we crave it and need it.
It makes me tear up also!!😢❤😢❤
This one gets me every time.
Daddy's Hands" by Holly Dunn is good as well.
I lost my dad over 10 years ago. I still miss him every day. When I hear songs like this, it really brings his memory to the forefront.

Can’t go wrong with Twitty
You should have reacted to Saturday Night Special. if you wanted to hear a good Conway Twitty song.
You need to listen to Monsters by James Blunt.
Ever hear Monsters by James Blunt?
I believe Conway wrote this shortly after his Dad passed
Nope, Gary Burr wrote this song!!
@@dianemiller3432 I didn't know that thank you!
I don't know how he gets through the whole thing! I know I'd break down!
I am 68, I lost my mom, my dad, my brother,.
Saddest part is he lived a mile or two away but found out his fated died by reading the paper?
