And here I thought Yang Mie Mie looked like an underage doll, that was before I saw this FL, she looks like a doll with a lower lip filler 🤭😂😂😂. This was absolutely lovely, I liked the fact that the FL wasn't standoffish when it came to romantic Scenes, made their relationship seem more relatable and real, they looked cute together and the care, love, protection and support the ML showed the FL was totally nice, even MLs family were great 😊. I strongly recommend watching this love story. ❤ Although the dialogue wasn't in English, the translation was decent, though they mistakenly referred to the female character as "he" instead of "she." That said, it's an understandable error. It was heartwarming to see how supportive her in-laws were and to witness her reunion with her biological parents on her wedding day. Wow! This was by far the best family in law anyone could ask for. Wonder why ML is referred to as uncle, he looks very young & what a beautiful face he has!!! ❤ FL definitely won the lotto. There's no sidechick or any other female around her man and he is the whole package
ML : Ke Jun FL : Dadaier This plot confused me. It started out like the college girl selling herself to a doctor plot where she became her lover, then it turned out to be a Xuanyi/Yuxian drama where they featured Yuxian in her everyday college life - with Ding Nana and gals bullying her and the one classmate who was interested in her that did not know she was married (in the novel) to Xuanyi. They included the nephew here which further confused me which plot this was following. Xuanyi has a nephew in the original work but he was written entirely differently than the nephew in this drama. This nephew followed the character from the college girl and doctor plot which upped my confusion to the heavens. As the story progressed, I find this really is a Xuanyi/Yuxian versions. They have incorporated Xuanyi's love of kissing Yuxian in the character although they made Xingyue a bit more proactive than Yuxian was in this stage of the relationship but I like it. It's a different take and this particular change along with the little pettiness they added in Xingyue's character (remember when she made use of the nephew and his buddies as practice dummies and poked holes in them?) made their version of Yuxian a bit more alive. Anyhoo, I like the change here where they had Xingyue intern as Ruohan's assistant. I like that they showed how protective the ML was with his wife. I do wish that they did not remove Xuanyi's 2 assistants as I love their characters too. However I do see why they were not included. They will not have any significance in the overall story since this was written way differently than all the Xuanyi/Yuxian versions out there. As mentioned, they have focused on the small part of Yuxian's college life and just developed the scenarios there. I must say, even though Ruohan was getting even with anyone giving Xingyue trouble, I kinda miss the ruthlessness of Xuanyi when dealing with anyone not named Wei Yuxian. It was one of the reasons I love his character. Ruohan's character was not bad, but it was a lot more tamer than how Xuanyi's character was written. Other than him being the college professor (coz it was not known in school from which family he hails from), there was really no reason why people would walk on eggshells around him. He is still infinitely better than the Xuanyi in Chai Chai's version. I thought I won''t find anyone who can beat Liu Xiyu and Li Yaya in looking pretty innocent in college FL roles, Dadaier proved me wrong. She looks like a doll especially with her curly hair!! Now I would like to mention, if I spelled the name wrong, i am basing it from how I remembered it spelled in the caption. So if I am wrong, sorry! Overall, I would say this was still a good watch. There really isn't that many beating happening (given that this was a Xuanyi/Yuxian version), no forced organ donation, bloodletting, domestic torture. The very small FL beating/humiliation was immediately cut and handled so we did not spend an hour waiting for the FL to be saved by someone. Definitely adding this to my Xuanyi/Yuxian and Watch It Again playlist! Happy watching!!

I always get annoyed when the FLs in these dramas are so focused on hiding their relationships with the MLs even when it's clear that doing so is causing more harm than good. It's dumb.
Thank goodness for the MIL because the FL wanting to forgive those two fools at the mall was about to make me angry. I don't even like that the ML already gave the FL's family all that money. He should have just kicked them out. I can't stand overly forgiving behavior shown towards people who not only don't deserve it but who also grown from it. Instead, all they'll learn is that they can get away with obnoxious behavior.
Yeah the ML seems slightly incompetent at protecting the FL effectively in this one. It's the MIL who always gets the job done. He's a bit of a pushover imo. She's a gangster! LOL! I love how awesome she is! The grandMIL too! The women in this family are strong!
