@Shiningsnow Not compulsory, no. Although obviously since it's a muslim country you'll see some women wearing the hijab and some do not. The men wear something called a dish dasha (source: I'm kuwaiti) Also come in the winter or fall if you can. Excruciatingly hot during the summer and spring.
As a Kuwaiti . I thank you for posting this video. Very limited tourists are visiting our country . That is why we will be very happy to see people come here for tourism. You will see how welcoming the locals will be when they know that you are a tourist. Note that in your video ,it shows that the country is a ghost Country. It may be misleading because you may have visited the country in one of the hottest months of the year .
Kuwait is certainly one of those gem countries where knowing and being guided by locals would provide you for a different and an immensely more valuable experience.
@@KooodNoood if you think to Visit Kuwait right now try to delay it wait for Winter because in summer Weather in Kuwait Reaches 60 degrees Celsius and More ! so it would be better if you visit Kuwait in Winter (December- February) at this time weather is Good
@@KooodNooodit is very hot burning actually 50°C - 60°C but in the winter it cools down a little and this is where most places start opening very better to come in winter
You focused on the negatives while ignoring many of the positives, and I do not doubt the intentions, but Kuwait is much better than your proposal. In general, the negatives you mentioned are being worked on to fix them, but your comments were valuable and deserve study and follow-up. Thank you very much.
This is such a good video! I enjoyed watching it, The videography was great and your opinion was actually balanced. If you were craving for traditional Arabian dishes. You should have gone to a place which not far from the city named Souk-Al Mubarakiya. It's an old Market which has lots to offer, Especially food. The prices are cheap. There are bigger and better malls around Kuwait which is the Avenues mall, Boulevard Mall, Marina mall the list goes on! I'm Glad you enjoyed your stay here and Im looking forward for your return, Keep it up man. Love and support from Kuwait! 🇰🇼🫶🏽
Fun fact: Kuwait actually was independent since 1613. The Ottoman empire admitted to Kuwait it independency and Kuwait was also tax free from the Ottoman. its only in historical maps Kuwait was apart of Ottoman but Al-Sabah family ruled the country almost since the 17 century. U need to research more of your info...
Whoever told you to check out Kuwait City misguided you. The city is very outdated and mostly just a business centre. Anything worth visiting in Kuwait is outside of the city. You definitely need a car to enjoy Kuwait. A local guide is a huge plus.
Kuwaiti here, the reason why it’s seemingly a ghost city is because right around this time is considered the hottest part of the year where people mostly stay indoors for the day and go out at night when its cooler, i highly suggest visiting Kuwait in the winter as thats when you’ll see everybody out and about. Ps the things shown in the video are a very small part of kuwait, I recommend travelling with a guide or a local, despite how small our country is, you would be surprised to see how much there is to it.
Yeah, that is what he explained in the video. I am not sure if Westerners will start coming to Kuwait anytime soon, though. It seems too strict and there is too much competition from places like Dubai and Qatar who are very far ahead. @Trollman-12-15
Yeah Assima mall is new and doesn’t have any Kuwaiti restaurants when you went there, but like just a few days ago Miskan (which is a Kuwaiti restaurant named after the Kuwaiti island of Miskan) opened in Assima mall as the first Kuwaiti restaurant 😂. You also should’ve went to Souk Mubarakiya which is a 200 year old souk in the center of the city. Hope you visit us again soon ❤🇰🇼
i was about to suggest that myself it one of the Biggest malls and were most people do there walking and entertainment and the have a section for Kuwait foods there as well
As a person who used to live in Kuwait I must say it’s a nice place to live if you’re a very family orientated person. You feel very safe apart from maybe driving lol but all in all I think if I wanted to settle and raise a family Kuwait would be great, life is very quiet and simple. On the other hand I think if you are younger person it can only provide you so much adventure before you may feel it’s time to explore elsewhere.
Kuwait has the best restaurants and food quality in the Middle East the mall he was in was just small and pretty new and the area he was in is mostly a business center he should’ve went outside the city we have the biggest mall in the middle east called the avenues mall.
Oh you came here during summer, yeah with the temperature reaching 50+ no wonder no one is walking around outside. During summer most kuwait's are either traveling abroad or at the malls, the Avenues is the most famous mall and you would've had a greater selection of Kuwaiti food.
Although I enjoyed your video, but you have missed a lot of attraction places and many amazing places that mainly locals visit, you have only checked very old places that none really cares about anymore, also without a car you can't really enjoy Kuwait, as its scorching hot and requires a car to actually transport to fun and known places, hopefully another visit with a kuwaiti would show you alot more. if i wanna say one thing about kuwait being a kuwaiti, we are mainly focused in indoor activities, variety of cuisines and AVENUES MALL pls visit that. thanks for visting Kuwait anyway
I appreciate your comment. But the point of this video was more to explain the history and show raw first impressions because most people in the West have no idea about Kuwait. I was only there for about 24 hours (basically a long layover). So it wouldn't have made much sense to hire a car.
If you want to live in peace and super safety country welcome to Kuwait. No alcohol no striptease’s no clubs, family friendly environment
I agree
Is there special dress code compulsory for women and men?
@Shiningsnow Not compulsory, no. Although obviously since it's a muslim country you'll see some women wearing the hijab and some do not. The men wear something called a dish dasha (source: I'm kuwaiti)

How about the food, is it expensive there? Like veges, milk, bread ... 😊
If you want activities, come during the winter times, you will see a big change

Kuwait was once called the bride of the Gulf, but it changed in the 90s and was replaced by Dubai
Yes , its cause Kuwait got a democratic parlament , evidence that democracy dosent work for all cultures

Gotta love the stereotypical arabic music playing. Kuwait, KSA, or even UAE music never sounded like that nor it does today.

Great video! Looks like a very rich ghost town. Seems like everyone is driving around and then going to malls in the evening.
Thanks! Yeah, that's the gist.

I need to enter Kuwait how can I get
Kuwait had a badly managed parliament that got dissolved this year. If Kuwait wanted to be touristic they could easily be number 1 in the region.
5:20 you'd think a tiny country with that much oil and only 1.5 million citizen would be much much better than it currently is ..

Its just Sad . Kuwait used to be a Pioneer in whole GCC. Now it's just Outdated and Lagged way behind . It's like its stuck in an Outdated era.
