- In this video I reviewed my DIY Keezer project. This DIY Kegerator allowed me to serve draft home brew in my garage without having having to deal with cleaning and bottling beer. I wish I decided to build a Keezer sooner!
I’ll show you how I modified the top of the Keezer for the beer taps, then I’ll go into detail on how I built my DIY temperature controller that converted the freezer into a refrigerator and finally I will go over how I added the co2 system.
Below are most of the components of my Keezer build:

Love those taps, might need to change mine out. I've got a 4 tap keezer.
Yeah, they’re working out, especially in the garage. After a few spills with my old taps, I had to try something. I have to get that email added to my RUclips page for you;)
@@justhomebrew I had different issues, I overbuilt mine using galvanized pipe for the taps, couldn't service the taps because of that. Oh well lesson learned keep it simple. Looking forward to the email.

Excellent video John!
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video. Since you bought a new freezer for this project, is there an advantage over just buying a small fridge and putting taps in the door?
Size, form factor, temp accuracy, and cost would be my considerations. I had a full size fridge for years for my keg system and it worked great. I think a chest freezer is more configurable than a fridge IMO, but either will work. I would go with another Keezer over a fridge if I were to do this again.
I'm just curious, do you guys not have dual mode chest freezers over there? Basically freezers where the dial start at like 10°C so you can set it to 4°C and not do the Inkbird thing.
Maybe, but not that I’m aware of. My freezer needed some sort of smart controller to accurately target temps.
