Against all the laws of propability, each time i play this game the highest cows always go to the bottom of the deck. I thinck they are heavier than the normal ones.

At 19:50 you forgot to take your hazard bonus when accessing your building.

The aux action is actually draw first, then discard from your hand the number you drew. This is better as you get more information before determining which to discard.

At 41:45 you *did* only have four cards, because you had to play your objective card to do the "draw 3 discard 3" action.

Not that it makes a difference, since you don't use the second green cow during your turn.

Everyone keeps talking about how awesome this game is, but it just isn't grabbing me. Would you say it is actual 'fun' to play, or is it one of those thinky one that lacks fun, but is so clever in the way the mechanics work that the 'fun' aspect seems secondary?

We had great fun with it, we need to play more but it seems like a keeper for me.
I know what you mean though, Terra Mystica was like that for me - I was always impressed with the way it worked and the evolution of your player board, but in the end it wasn't fun for me.

Great playthrough. However, the hand limit of Marty was 5.

I wa surprised more cards didn't come out on the trail, I thought that would fill up.

Yeah, not much building happened in the end - still, in our 2 player game the trail was pretty sparse, there's the same number of spaces for all player counts

Also depends on the headspace of the players. I played a couple times last weekend, both 4 players, one game a ton of buildings came out, the other the board stayed sparse until the end. I would imagine where the construction building gets put makes a difference, and what buildings the players have available. (And how many construction workers come out and when...)

      good to know, ty

Also, I should mention that with more players you can move more spaces and the hands cost less, so that does abstractly scale the spaces on the board.

Man this game has such great components. However, it's just not catching me on the theme. I find myself getting lost on all the moves and how it should tie in to the theme. I want to own it on the presentation alone, but can't because I'm not sure I can even get in to it. Love the play through videos though.

Sorry to say but your final move to kansas city was 4 spaces away and you could only move 3.
So give Marty the win lol.

It was 3 spaces away if he went around the "hazard" side (with no hazards), which he did.

Great job, got a much better idea of what this is about. I'm still stuck with no interest in the theme and feeling the mechanics are dry, euroy manipulations.
