A grizzled 50-year-old seaman with a ruffle shirt, drawstring, is (aboard a ship:1.2), clinging to the rails of a storm-tossed vessel as he frantically flees toward the viewer. The ship is being pummeled by an immense cephalopod terror, its tawny tentacles pulverizing the timber hull. In the background there is a island with a coconut plant.
