Wonderful memories of this town, being brought up there in the 50s & 60s there was no place better. The park shown in the video was bustling every Summer's night with maybe 2 or 3 informal games of football. The tennis courts had a queue to play and the putting green was host to many a family having a fun game. In Winter the slopes were enough to sledge with some speed and we would be welcomed home, wet, tired, exhilarated, and a with a sense of well-being sadly missing today.
You've set my appetite! Would love to go and see where my ancestors came from. It looks magical. Right now I live in south Australia.
