Koreans underrated our Filipino accent while Americans and other top 3 English speaking countries never do😂 Like what you said Oppa, only few of koreans can only speak English.. Maybe those bullies are so jealous because most of the Filipinos can speak and understand English.

Our family went to Korea twice for a vacation, it's difficult to communicate there since majority of Koreans don't understand and can't talk even simple English, but why underrate us 😭😭😭. In Korea, I have to buy medicine and have to go to the hospital. Even professional people there need a translator. But we never judge them nor underrate them. Here in ph, even simple people can understand and trying to communicate with foreigners coming here. Anyway, not all Koreans underrate Filipinos.

Filipino can easily be multilingual. We like hearing how other languages spoken. We don't underrate a language even Hangul. Instead, if we really do love a language, we sometimes learn it. ALL i want to say, regardless of how the accent is, the fact that we are able to speak other language is already something to be Proud of.

Filipino accent is Neutral. Words are better understood with a neutral accent. It's the clarity of words that's important here. That's why most Filipinos are good communicators. Even little kids won't be afraid to talk to you when you speak to them in English.
And honestly, when you're used to conversing with people in English, the (american) accent would just come out naturally specially for people who's very much exposed to Western culture.

The English subject in the Philippines , the teacher doesn't teach us Accent. But instead proper and clear pronunciation. You can't sit in your chair if you can't deliver the word perfectly. This scenario happens in elementary and high school.
Jessica lee is the example where you clearly understand the english words without reading subtitles.
Accents can learn or adopt when you live in a western country.. by the way English language is a way to communicate only as long as you understand each other it doesn't matter if you don't have an accent.

With their "adu cart" and "siginiture"
I am not mocking them amd no Filipino mock them its just that... why are they like that to us when we Filipino are trying to be friend with them? And their are a lot of Korean who do not speak english fluently and when trying to imitate or copy british accent they look more funny than us Filipino with our accent.
God bless them! That's all i can say for those people who think theirs perfect and they are intitled to mock us. Believe in "karma"... "what goes around comes around" thats an american belief. Mocking is a bad attitude.

It doesn't matter what your accent is because somehow it's your identity, what matter is how you speak, compose, deliver your message and be able to comprehend. Just my opinion tho... ;*)

Most of the Filipino can understand English but not the perfect it’s ok as long as you communicate with other people.

The truth is Filipinos can do any accent they want , it depends on their mode and it depends on their OA ( OVER ACTING ON THE ACCENT ) Filipino accent are much more similar like American accent compared to Asian neighbor country's that's why PHILIPPINES is considered as a Call center Capital in Asia. Cuz Filipino English accent is clear, understable and much more similar of American accent . Remember PHILIPPINES is colonized by Americans so don't be confused.

The issue is not just exclusive to Koreans criticizing the Filipino English Accent as it can also happen between Koreans too, I suggest watching Terry Tv's story about the time he was teaching English in Korea. Although I agree that this kind of issue is mostly common in the entertainment industry. Heck, even Filipinos criticize their own countrymen especially if the person has a different accent.
This stereotypical mindset of if you want to learn English then it should be taught by someone who "looks" western just needs to stop and keep in mind, a lot of Koreans go to the Ph to learn English and this kind of stereotypes doesn't just happen between Koreans and Filipinos, it can be in reverse or with other nationalities. So guys, please just be open minded and don't generalize.
