  • Being in India was such a wonderful experience! I couldn't be there without sharing a book with all of you! Join me and Mr.Professor, as I read "Meena's Mindful Moment", written by Tina Athaide and illustrated by Asa Gilland.
It's a lovely little book about a girl named Meena who goes to India to visit her dada (grandfather). She's young and impulsive and has to learn how to control her inner self (her hullabaloo), in order to reduce the negative impact that she inflicts upon the people around her. It's a great book for young listeners to learn the importance of self control, and the impact that we have on others, by teaching them simple techniques to develop a centred self.
Aside from the inspiring story of self realization and growth, I love this book for its wonderfully illustrated scenes of life in India. From the fruits, the food carts, the fashion, and the train, to the structures, the parks and the fishing boats, this book is filled with India's infectious vibrance! It was such a pleasure to experience its pages. I wish I could have captured all of what the pages had to offer but lost so much of what they truly showed in order to capture the essence of the narration. If you ever get the chance to peruse its pages in person in a library or a bookstore, please do, as it would be totally worth your time!
Thanks as always to all of you wonderful, wonderful viewers who take the time to watch and share my videos. You are all so awesome, appreciated and totally valued!
May your days be blessed and filled with peace!
    Thanks again!
