    Repetition is the way most of the negative ideas and beliefs got in the subconscious mind in the first place so we can utilize this process to establish a positive mind set. In many cases it is also very helpful to directly address the negative programming and refute it, cancel, and erase it. There are other methods for doing that which are not covered in this video.     Johnathon, I purchased your two tape programs from your infomercial back in 1987 when I was 17 and I have used your methods all throughout my life to overcome a lot of negative program I received as a child.     I have difficulty seeing why psychologists use the terms" bad" and "good" rather than threatening, frustrating and promising in relation to emotion
    Emotions arise from perceptions of threat or promise.and you are correct in saying subcoscious mental activity plays a major part in formulating and influencing decisions and behavior than we are aware. Emotion per se cannot be "controlled" but your excellent advice here may effectively reduce the number or intensity of emotion episodes.

    Sometimes when you begin using positive affirmations you experience cognitive dissonance, which means your old programming resists accepting the new way of thinking. This is a normal part of the process of change, Through repetition of the positive affirmations over a few weeks the new outlook will integrate and feel normal.

      Hi Jonathan,i'm 31 yo and cant get out of a deep anxiety and depression brung on by the anxiety.I was told its social anxiety,but i have never had any help.Do you have any advice. Thanks.

    Excellent video. Releasing emotional pain is so important before one begins to focus on attracting. The Law of Attraction brings you what you are, not what you want. Therefore if one is caught in emotional pain, more is likely on the way. Pain leads to pain, pleasure leads to pleasure.

    I hate my childhood, i was diagnosed with autism, all my friends said it as well at the age of 8-10, when i turned 15, i TOTALLY did NOT think autistic anymore the doctors said i am NOT autistic, so i was FILLED with succes and positivity, i actually had a conversation with my brain, and doctors told me im normal, there is nothing wrong with me, its how you sometimes think of yourself rofl.. anyway i worked out and i felt better and better and better, my brother bullied me as a child i still remember that, i truly hate my past, BUT in my mind i go back to my childhood imagining that, and extinguish ALL of the negativity, and ALL the times i felt really good and full of positivity, it really did help me, i feel extremely confident, i can do anything i want, and most importantly i feel my absolutel self, ive learned to be myself fully, people love me, i film myself often to see how i look, having the right mindset to go through life etc, Autistic people CANNOT think like this can they? anyway i feel great, but the best thing is, I CAN SEE THE BIGGER PICTURE, no one ever puts me down anymore, i go with the normal guys now, its really true, you can ACTUALLY extinguesh ALL of the negative thoughts, and for some reason i became really smart in life, such as doing all my motions differently, acting differently, reacting differently, and the most great thing aswel is that i all did this myself, but i sticked cool when the docs said i dont have autism, so im a happy person now, the haters are my motivators, i am who i am, and i dont give a fuck what anyone else thinks, which you shouldnt, its your life, your goals, your succes. Be a god in life guys trust me its greater than you think, This was a short bit of my life story, i look to what sin front of me! WHATS IN FRONT OF ME! not about the past, i imagine i had a great past, i never feel down anymore, i have no idea how this comes, but I REALLY love my life now, every second of it, i feel super confident, i feel my true self, i present my true self, if someone tries to physically attack me im not scared, if someone tries to touch me it doesnt hit anymore in my brain, my brain processes things totally different now, ANYTHING, but the best thing is like i siad, i can see the bigger picture, see everything flowing in life, FUCK negativity guys, positivty is the key to succes and succes relates to absolutely true being yourself confidence, WORK OUT, do whatever the hell you want in life, but do it good. Yeah bro's, gal's your all gonna make it, listen to your favorite music, and fuck what everyone else thinks of you! you got your goals in your head! Make them reality! use your imagination! develop your mental skills, become a person that loves life, think of the ocean, extend the ocean, see the bigger picture, imagine how you felt at that moment guys, much succes to all of you, you're all gonna make it,

    Hey thanks so much for this video, I have def been programmed to thing negatively about life and everything about myself from body image to my mental state, I know most of it stems from childhood , what I experienced and what I hear repeatedly. Im trying so hard to be positive but I do feel like there is something blocking me, I have bouts of happiness and motivation but only for a day I cant seem to make it just happen. Love the video and will be working on myself to program my mind in a + way

    thanks, helped a lot, i have had some unwanted negative thoughts that have been coming automatically recently, i'm just gonna use that repeat thing until my mind gets tired of sending me that negative thought, eventually it's gonna get tired of sending me those thoughts and give up, so nice! another thing, i was pretty impressed by how you presented this, while i was listening i got some question, that you answered in the next sentece, i think you got a good grip on how we people think!

    Interesting thanks. I find that trying to think specific to idea or action and emotionally literate helps me. Just thinking, " I'm annoyed that it broke ", " I'm worried about what might happen ", " I'm furious about his decision " etc but choosing to focus on positive & optimistic views it part of it too.

    Stay focused on "PAST the finish line" of your goal, NOT on "the race", progress, steps needed, processes, feelings about doing it, how you feel or anything at all that has to be made or continue being done to reach the goal. If you focus on anything except the completed task and how nice it will be once completed, you will focus on all the upsetting parts of the process and feel it's not a good time and seem very painful, even though you are fully capable and it is easy and nearly painless.

    Hi Jonathan! Thank you for this video! IT is really helpfull!
    I've been having a hard time being too tough on myself.I didnt even notice that i was studying until exaustation.I then amost fainted,but i THOUGHT i was doing something nice to me.(Studying should be positive,+run after my carrer).So i found some hidden beliefs that were telling me this was the right path but it is not.i was totally stressed.I thught i needed to prove someting to my father,and speaking to him helped me changing it.

    Thank you mr Jonathan :) I have too much time right now to think about stupidity and negative stuff until my school starts, isolated in a small village with almost no people to talk to. I usualy feel fine but i got anxious with these few weeks of siting home doing nothing but thinking.

      Thinking is normal. Just watch what you think. If you think positive you will feel positive. Now you are young so train your mind to think good or your mind will get the habit of negative thinking and you will develop the habit of feeling bad. Best wishes. Bless you.

    Having positive Expectancy opens you to positive outcomes. It is an opening to receive and accept wonderful things. Expectancy, on the other hand, puts you in a place of fearing possible negative outcomes. It is similar to anticipation but with a subtle fear that what is hoped for won't manifest. Use positive affirmations for what you want, and then relax and patiently be open to receiving.     Positive affirmations help, but it takes more than that to overcome negative thinking patterns. I know, because I was depressed for a long time before I realized I was even depressed.     what is the relation between negative toughts and SENSE OF REALITY. Reality tends to negative things, it is a resistence, unless we put a lot of strenght against it

      I believe that negative thoughts describes an overwhelming condition, one that disregards the potential value of working to dissolve troubling things. Those bad things go to and stay in a locked down cognitive part of your thinking. They can be confronted and bid goodbye - I've done it, with Jonathan Parker's knowledgeable and intense programs - along with some new medication introduced in the '80's and 90's.

    Hello there Jonathan,
    Can this method of repeated saying help with ones own fears. Lets say flying or hight's, you would say repeatedly i am not scared of flying i am safe. I am not scared of hight,s ext. Claustrophobia, you would say i will never get in a stuck situation ext. You know Jonathan I think we all have some kind of fear or negative thoughts that come so will this work on Fears like i said before. Thank you so much for your info on this video.

      Hi, Cindy Udhardt, one must put the positive in a positive statement such as I love heights, I love flying, I am calm when I enter closed spaces or the mind will treat the negative as what you want: I am scared of heights instead of hearing I an not scared of heights. Play around with the wording and find what works for you. Much success. Such as I am calm in whatever circumstances. I love challenges.
