it started as a ten-second animation, following a tutorial on how to use other clip studio paint tools, and snowballed to a full minute and a half project. now it's (old) baby's first short animation! Cass Apocalyptic Series is a wonderful Rise of the TMNT fan-creation. i hope this is a worthwhile tribute to an incredible fan-comic. there are some audio quirks that i couldn't figure out, but hopefully it doesn't mess with the viewing experience. please let me know your thoughts!

animation was completed on Clip Studio Paint, compiled on Microsoft Clipchamp.

Literally seeing poor Leo like this is just so heartbreaking. He was just dead so he’s just so confused but above all he’s unbelievably happy seeing his twin again.

I'm crying.. This is wonderful. These vivid emotions in the characters made me cry, these sincere emotions of Leo broke my heart, and their hug restored my heart. Thank you very much for your work. The video is worthy of the whole world❤️🧡💙💜
Awww my gosh those are incredibly kind words thank you so much! It was such an emotional, rewarding moment in the comic, after everything they've been through. I'm glad if I could convey at least a sliver of the impact the story had on me 😭😭

I love how Leo is curling himself around Donnie, like he's trying to hug him with his entire body, like he so scared Donnie is gonna wither away and vanish again.
All of it wonderful, beautiful, chef kiss, but THAT frame just itches in my brain so much and I love it!
(and the end credits animation of a sobbing Leo smacking a very eepy Donnie, that was great.)
Ahhhh I really appreciate that you noticed that little shot I did, it was small but to me really important to convey that he's not just seeking comfort of a hug, he's holding onto Donnie like he might disappear!! I drew it at many different angles trying to fit all their limbs into the frame LOL

😭 anything having to do with CAS with get me emotional. But the soft music, emphasis on the mundane background sounds to contrast this emotional reunion, and without any voice overs--this was beautiful

Wow, that was really cool! You are very talented. I kinda wish you did the scene when Donnie passed out from fatigue, and Leo checked his pulse though. I would have loved to see Leo cuddling an already unconscious Donnie, ESPECIALLY in your art style!
Thank you so much, I would have loved to keep going and animate those scenes too! I definitely thought about it, and drafted out a slightly alternate version of Donnie passing out, and Leo checking Donnie's pulse and his own. It was a really impactful moment that I wanted to do as well. I have other projects lined up, though, and I felt like I just had to wrap this one up and move on. I really appreciate the thought, though!!

I've watched this whole series of a dubbed version from someone else. And I honestly didn't realize how much different it would be from an animated standpoint. Oooooh Boi, was I wrong. They did a good job on the voice acting making each of the characters sound unique. The main one I watched was HaloSpark. They've done a lot of TMNT. As well as a few other things too. I'd totally recommend watching their TMNT comic dubs.
