@hybriddecadence8679 may only happen when updating with the auto driver installer I'm unsure. I bought the taichi carrara and updated my bios through a USB stick and it works fine
@@Atticus_Moore I've been thinking about updating my bios, im not very experienced with mobo interfaces. I've heard it's not a good idea to update your mobo but I assume that's a thing of the past and these am5 mobos should handle updates well as long as you do it right. Thanks for the tip, I will try updating thru a USB drive.
@hybriddecadence8679 yeah I've had less issues updating through a USB. Updating the bios let's you use new memory that it wasn't able to before seat new cpu's that come out in the future, as well as run ram at higher speeds and more capacity. updating once a year I think is good if you're looking for those kinds of features for your build. otherwise its not needed.
MSI godlike is not compatible with the amd ryzen 7850x3d I found this website where I can build up the of with parts and every time I choose the MSI god like it turns red not compatible maybe the lower card though
hi actually it is compatible, it might just need a bios update since the 7950x3d was released after the godlike. Nevertheless MSI godlike is ridiculously expensive and it would be better to save that money for the GPU
Looks like it's a bad time to make a new computer. All motherboards are rated at 4.0 stars with the very highest at 4.2, and too many complaints about the motherboards causing issues. I've never seen something that low.
ASRock X670E Taichi Carrara maybe a good motherboard but it's not a good pair for the 7950x3D, I can only get 32 fps with CPU during timespy cpu test. GPU gets 37K, CPU gets 9-10K. I've switched out the ram, switched the hdd, changed power supplies, changed aio, changed video cards nothing helps. Now my PC is a paper weight at $5000! yeah! wish I stayed intel amd is terribly buggy. My problems. XMP causes BSOD, Driver IRQL_Less than or = to, IRQL_Less than or = To, Critical Process died, black screen of death no bsod just reboot, Bios version 2.02 will freeze is XMP is enabled. TPM Sensor not found. PBO causes bsod at login and safe mode so you can't even tweak anything. This is the second motherboard I've gone through that had these issues, the first was Asus Strix X670E-A and I barely got to install windows due to crashing. I really have no idea what to do at this point, so much time energy and money spent. I built this pc myself in september, replaced the motherboard 2 weeks ago, aio last week, gpu last week, ram just a few days ago. My ram is 2 dimms of G.SKill Z5 6000Mhz CL 36-36-36-96 I have 64GB now across 4 sticks but I guess that's unstable too. Any thoughts, ideas? Maybe I can get a full refund and go Intel. If I do I'm going 14900k at least I'll know that's stable and DDR4 not DDR5. PC specs: MSI RTX 4090 Suprim Liquid X (Requires MSI software to control RGB) Ryzen 7950X3D (Best FPS I've gotten is 32, worst 22 fps.) It's been kind of annoying honestly, everyones so indirect but I'll most likely go for that one. I'm building a white pc so I guess it works there too. I have the 4090 RTX FE

Gives you everything and better looks. At the end pf the day guys dont fall for the big time motherboard talks. You woll get the same performance at 160 dollars as you do with these ar 400 dollars as long as you arenr overclocking. Im very minimal so I dont need anything crazy. Even other cheaper boards can now OC at least a little bit.

The taichi motherboard has an issue with sleep mode killing the ethernet port so be careful
