No agent skins... Being able to identify an agent at a quick glance in game is a huge part of aproaching situations in game... If you see a breach /skye etc you can be prepared for possible flashes comingat you, if you see a jett you can prepate for hermovement style etc... Its super important to know what agent is what and then you can play with that information to your advantage...

I genuinely like how honest this guy is. Hes not afraid to call our actions stupid or bad, but he does it in a way that suggests improvement instead of shame. It may just be me, but I find this super helpful.

This is gonna sound weird, but the way I’ve stayed consistent is treating comp like a regular unrated. Putting nervousness at an all time low as impacted my ability more than anything else
Agent skins sound really fun and all, but may interfere with gameplay if they make any two agents look similar. So long as the agents are still distinct with the skins, I'm all for it.
Otherwise, there would have to be a "disable agent skins" option in the settings, which will just ruin the point of having agent skins in the first place, unless you can only disable agent skins for the enemy team.
The skins would be dope as hell. Like, it also changes the agent selection animation, the character logo and the MVP pose but still try to retain either their respective color palette(violet for astra, white for jett, blue for yoru, orange for raze etc) or their major details. Of course also having the option to turn off the skins would be good too.

You forgot to mention the major issue with people's inconsistency. Example - Team one you play in and you get 30 kills running the map and destroying anyone in your path - This game you have 2 or 3 smurfs with you and the people on the other team are all boosted. Game 2, you struggle to get 10 kills, and it feels like everywhere you look you get one tapped - You are up a against a 4 stack of smurfs, and the people on your team are from your actual rank.

as a guy always solo-queueing i can say that sometimes my teammates have trash aim and are in general bad so i maybe drop 30 kills but we still lose because of the inconsistency of my teammates. So quick tip for anyone. Don't solo queue if you want to be consistent and rank up fast. Solo queue if you don't have any other choice and/or you want to rage and shout at random people across your continent (or be shouted at).
If you shout at your teammates (bad or good) in the first place, you're doing something wrong

The fact u make 30 kills and still loose means ur doing bad mistakes. I carry easy with 20-30kills a game. Revise ut attitude and tactics.

I 100% support agent skins. I think it would add some flare to the game cause of I can run around with omen or yoru in a goofy or cooler outfit I would be overjoyed even if I lose
The problem is, since in this game you can get killed practically in a second and it doesn't have a downed feature like Apex and COD Warzone it would be really hard to identify agents and adapt your playstyle on that split second to have a chance to counter that agent's abilities.

That is really helpful. I play Breach, and similar, i forget to use Aftershock... similarly when i flash or stun i get greedy and run into 1v3 situation to try and get more kills, which more often than not, backfires.
I like that he isnt scared to callout if you're doing something stupid or making a bad play but isnt rude about it and tries his best to be helpful which in my opinion helps a lot more than sugarcoating it.
As for the agent skins i dont think that they should add them for a couple reasons, the first is that having skins for agents might seem cool but every other game has skins for the characters and it kind of seperates valorant from those games which makes it unique but that might just be me, I also wouldn't doubt that if they start adding agent skins the community would start begging for more revealing type of skins.

I think agent skins could work but it would have to be very tightly controlled. You couldn't have wacky stuff like Overwatch's skins; it would have to just be recolors.

Yes adding agent skins would be really cool as long as we can easily remember which skin is for each agent so we can know what might come like a breach flash or something.
Hey king I’m curious what do you think about maining two characters that are the exact opposite like kJ and Jett which are my mains do you think that there different play styles could effect consistency?
i have one agent main per role, viper, cypher, skye and jett. jett is the least i played because lets face it, everyone is picking her. i can entry alright but sometimes because i dont have the habits, i forgot i can dash left/right. so yeah, jett is an agent you really need to build a habits on. but your other main kj is super easy, pretty much everyone above bronze pick her and play well.

Whenever I play worse than usual it's because when I'm tired and annoyed, I'm overloaded with stress and can't focus on shooting the head, so end up whiffing or getting body shots.
When I play well it's usually because my mind is very clear and can focus on shooting the head.

i agree with all tips but i think if u r losing matches and not getting kills with your main , then just try a different agent which is good for that map... it has hpnd to me a lot of time and the trick works for me
I think having agent skins would be cool. Would love to see VCT teams skins added. Kinda like what Blizzard did with overwatch for the overwatch league.

Yes being able to change/ customize players is something every game should have
I'm going to be honest here, but ironically, the biggest inconsistency for me is the humidity. It can get pretty humid on some days where I live in the world. When humid the GSR mousepad I have gets super muddy and throws my aim off big time, I originally didn't know what it was, so I used to tilt when trying to find why I was aiming so poorly. Literally buying a dehumidifier solved the issue.
One thing that i see that improoves my gameplay is when i play after a coffe or a n energy drink, i get focused on the game and win more duels.
I usually find that if I play for couple hours after 8 o'clock by my 5th or 6th game I wouldn't play well at all.

Besides me being bad at the game there is also the problem that the matchmaking is also inconsistent, I've played against people from gold 2 on the enemy team and my team where all mixed silver ranks (myself one of them) the game ended as a tie after 3 overtimes and got +2 points for that... It was a good game but at a lot of times I could feel like I was lacking a lot of experience when it comes to mechanics but jeez, pairing up silvers against golds at random at 10am...
I watch this for business and it helps a lot

QOTD: no. I think it would be too distracting. Also, riot has obviously put a lot of work into character designs, even addding small details to allude to backstories and such. It would really take away from that and be annoying for teammates and enemies to have to deal with obnoxious skins of other people in the game. Also, there aren’t even certain sprays allowed mid-round because they can be too distracting so agent skins would definitely be a no go

I think one of the biggest issues with inconsistently is crouching..something I noticed is I tend to crouch alot even in situations where it's not necessarily like taking a long range duel. When you crouch it lowers your crosshair position meaning you have to correct it to maintain head level. What happens is your crosshair is on their head initially but you crouch prematurely making your shots off the mark and theirs hit you in the head if they are aiming for the body. My advice to maintain consistency. Stop crouching in every duel. Only crouch when you have committed to a spray after missing your first few shots..especially with Vandal!
Thank you for your advice but no one remembers not to crouch in game. The muscle memory is already built and it will be a hard time to forget it. I literally used to crouch in every duel. But unbinding the crouch button really helped me. It will be a hard time at the beginning but I never gave up no matter how hard I whiffed and got scolded by my teammates. Then i started tap firing and burst firing so I wouldnt whiff and my headshot percentage sky rocketed. Now I don't crouch at any duels.
@@fortnitehack9957 yes crouching ruins so many duels. I want to unbind my crouch but there are some instances where it is useful and also crouch jumping is necessary to get to some spots as agents without vertical mobility
i think i just over think a situation like
im a ramps on haven enemy behind and infront me of im 1 hp do i keep run and gunning and try to land a hit on the enemy and then take a corner but might do? do i go behind the box flash and try and kill the guy behind me but what if the guy infront of me runs up and shoots me? what if i stood still and shot the guy infront then flash well i might get shot im 1 hp. this is what i do for every situation in a fight and i just sit there trying to think frying my brain
My problem is I want to long to use utility. I tend to use my utility after I see an enemy rather then to clear a corner.

Another tip, don't play with smurfs or people much better than you if you're looking to rank up. Most people have that one friend that's dropping 40's each game, and while you'll win more games with someone like that on your team, it will not help you improve.
After playing many competitive ranked games and climbing many ladders to the near top, I’d say the best way to improve is to play with better players. If you are hard stuck silver for example and play vs silvers for a year straight you will continue to do stupid shit that will only work in silver, with each rank comes different punishment and for a silver player to play in a gold/plat lobby even just a few times will be the best thing for them
Agent skins would be another money grab but as long as they don't change or affect the performance of the agents, I wouldn't care. Obv make them character specific. I don't think it'd make agents harder to identify as long as they're agent specific. Like back in the Black Ops III days. All specialists had different skins but you could still tell a firebreak from a prophet from a reaper.
I'll say yes to agent skins BUT the agents with the skins shouldn't look too different from their default counterparts. That way people can customize their agents and at the same time, can still identify other agents.

As someone who plays Breach quite a bit, I often try to use my aftershock only for the game to not let me use it although all the conditions to use it are met. It is really annoying and makes aftershock so undependable I often forget to use it. I feel like this issue is something riot needs to fix.

my bad habit is that i switch to knife everytime i will run and only switch back to my wepaon when im alert and cautious (when someone mollies my feet i just grab my knife and try to run lmao)

Another thing is if you’re watching RUclipsrs to study them to improve, DONT! They will use gimmicks for content (which I love to watch) but when you want to study pros I’d watch clips from professional matches at competitions.

ok im kind of in a bad spot since I get tilted after 1 game because hardstuck bronze and teammates aren't the best decision-making wise so I play other games after 1 game of valorant that I warmup like an hour for and then I play other games and I feel like those games are decreasing my skill

Riot probably never will add skins.
Instant character recognition is kind of too important. Skins will make it near impossible to make proper call outs.
Imagine saying sage mid, but it was actually jett. And the Jett had ult. So the mid person plays as if the person is sage not jett. They don't even think about vertical angles and run n knife.
It would make the game way too confusing for no real reason.

I think agent skins are inevitable and they will do it in a way that the character is still easily identifiable. League of Legends skins make too much money, Val weapon skins make too much money, companies choose money.

I am on silver and no matter how many rounds I win the next few rounds I play I lose all of them. I win two rounds and lose two times because of a team who doesn't even understand the concept of entry fragging with duelist despite I smoked for them and yet still didn't entered.
