It's like they have 44871 a very warm welcome to Lincoln Central. It would have backed into Lincoln Terrace Sidings but because of the closure of the East Coast Mainline, the train had to run down to face back via Peterborough.
Welcome back...I was in Lincoln I really liked the city and the train station, I love trains even if in Romania I go slower (and time to admire nature😀), congratulations for the video ...🇷🇴🇬🇧
Well, hope you had a nice time at Lincoln. I agree, it is a brilliant city to go to. The Lincoln Christmas Market is one of the biggest markets in the UK which means for very busy and overcrowded trains. Thank you and happy to hear you've enjoyed watching it :-)
The East Midlands Meridians operates 2 daily trains running between Lincoln and London ST Pancras via Nottingham. During the Christmas Market, EMR puts on Meridians for special additional services. It is rare that Meridians are used on regional services but it does happen on a few occasions but not often.
Never been spotting at Lincoln, can add to my list 👍
It's a station that I highly recommend :-)
Very busy station great video as usual
I agree Peter, busy indeed. It would have been busier but EMR was running a very reduced service.
Thank you :-)
Very exiting specially the curve entry and exit.
Thank you. Yes, I agree with the section of line branching off for either:
Lincoln Terrace Sidings
Cleethorpes/Grimsby Town
Peterborough
Ah the traditional Lincoln arrival for any steam engine; the cathedral bells going off in the background as it wheel spins away on the ECX
