A girl I used to talk to named Renae showed me this song. We never got to meet but would talk every single day. She was from Northridge, California. I lost contact with her but have tried to find her for years. Renae, if you're reading this, this is Heather. I still think about you to this day and wish we could have seen where our lives could have gone if we met. Maybe one day we will get a chance.
I’m 27 years old now but about 10 years ago when I was 15/16 this album really did it for me. It’s Christmas morning and Tegan and Sara randomly popped into my head so I’m going down nostalgia Lane and listening to the whole album again because I was so obsessed with it freshman year of high school. This album really made an impact on me, and 10 years later, it still does. I used to walk around town with my best friend playing this on my freaking PSP (play station portable)! Hahaha. They don’t even make that console anymore lol. I even cut my hair like them during this time! Haha
I felt you in my legs before I ever met you And when I lay beside you for the first time I told you I feel you in my heart and I don’t even know you And now we’re saying bye, bye, bye And now we’re saying bye, bye, bye I was nineteen, call me I felt you in my life before I ever thought to Feel the need to lay down beside you and tell you I feel you in my heart and I don’t even know you And now we’re saying bye, bye, bye x2 I was nineteen, call me x2 Flew home back to where we met stayed inside I was so upset Cooked up a plan, so good upset I was all alone you were all I had Love you, you were all mine Love me, I was yours right? I was yours right? I was nineteen, call me... x2
This song has always meant so much to me. Im 27 now, but I also had some traumatic/important relationship at 19 that never really left me. Goals is performing this on stage with them some day since the song helped me through so much growing up before I made music.
I remember this song at 17 having me think 19 would be the best year of my life - I didn’t understand the lyrics at the time. 19 came and went as the lowest point in my life, and now this song hits in such a bittersweet way. All those broken dreams, foolish ambitions, and humbling heartbreaks were certainly rough, but I’m glad to have grown from them in a time where I thought things would never get better.
Had this record YEARS ago, sold it, forgot about it for the longest time. This shit hits when you're 19, sure, but even more so at 28. I like their more poppy direction more recently, but I don't think they can top this album
I remember my 19th birthday almost 11 years ago to this day, being home alone at my parents house and blasting this song at full volume and singing like I actually could! I can’t believe it’s been so long. Makes me feel old. But still a timeless song
I wanna go see them live but my mum won't let me since she knows I like girls so she doesn't let me do anything. I hate homophobia why can't people just be accepted no matter who they like or what kind of clothes they where.Damn get over it homophobes we are humans too
I really hope that things had turned better for you. I was in the same position 2 years ago and decided to break free from my father’s house... now I’m in a healthy relationship with my girlfriend and trying to heal all those issues that my father provoked. Things will be okay, you gotta look after yourself...

Girl yes. I’m getting chills....
-Its Christmas night... a year later and I'm on the nostalgia.
I feel you in my heart, and I don’t even know you
I'm 42 now. When I first heard this it was the same. Honesty holds over time like that.
Were the same age. I couldn't agree more. 💖 Cheers to the future with a loving nod to our past 💫
My ex played this song for me the night before I turned 20. Perhaps one of the sweetest memories I have of that time. I turn 30 tomorrow.
Idk why this song pulls on the heartstrings but it does even after all this time
Lowkey one of the dopest drum beats ever.
I felt you in my legs before I ever met you
And when I lay beside you for the first time I told you
I feel you in my heart and I don’t even know you
And now we’re saying bye, bye, bye
And now we’re saying bye, bye, bye
I was nineteen, call me
I felt you in my life before I ever thought to
Feel the need to lay down beside you and tell you
I feel you in my heart and I don’t even know you
And now we’re saying bye, bye, bye x2
I was nineteen, call me x2
Flew home back to where we met stayed inside I was so upset
Cooked up a plan, so good upset I was all alone you were all I had
Love you, you were all mine
Love me, I was yours right?
I was yours right?
I was nineteen, call me... x2
I love this... I love The Con... I love each one of their albums.

memories of my first band 2007, driving around, warm nights, sometimes cold friends...in the end, it was good times. this one really teleports me back

I’m 30 now, and I’m still waiting for you… whoever you are
It seems to be always someone else playing tegan and Sara for someone else , strange phenomenon
You know those songs that hit way too fucking close to home for comfort? Well, this song is me except for I was 17…
I was 35...
I first heard this when I was nineteen. College
Is that death cabs drummer?
Evan Paul yeah it is
If you love the drums, here's a great video where they show it being recorded.
