- THE DIRTY DOZEN 1967 Cast THEN AND NOW 2023, All the cast members died tragically!!
The Dirty Dozen is a 1967 American war film directed by Robert Aldrich and starring Lee Marvin with an ensemble supporting cast including Ernest Borgnine, Charles Bronson, Jim Brown, John Cassavetes, Richard Jaeckel, George Kennedy, Ralph Meeker, Robert Ryan, Telly Savalas, Donald Sutherland, Clint Walker and Robert Webber. Set in 1944 during the Second World War, it was filmed in England at MGM-British Studios and released by MGM. The film was a box office success and won the Academy Award for Best Sound Editing at the 40th Academy Awards in 1968. In 2001, the American Film Institute placed it at number 65 on their 100 Years... 100 Thrills list. The screenplay is based on the 1965 bestseller by E. M. Nathanson which was inspired by a real-life WWII unit of behind-the-lines demolition specialists from the 101st Airborne Division named the "Filthy Thirteen". Another possible inspiration was the public offer to President Franklin D. Roosevelt by 44 prisoners serving life sentences at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary to serve in the Pacific on suicide missions against the Japanese. Кино
1967 best year best film
I seen the Dirty Dozen when it came out in the movie theaters, great film !! Sad that most are gone now. Time flys by.
This was one of the most outstanding movies ever made. The cast was superb.
R.I.P. Donald Sutherland
Thanks for the memories R.I.P.
Very good thank you Bro. Iam SELVARAJ COIMBATORE
I remember seeing it as a little kid. The audience whooped it up at the first curse words shocking for 1967.All are now gone.
I' ll never forget , a colorful radio personality from South Florida ( former Miami Dolphin, Jim Mandich) said in his am sports radio show once, talking to his much younger co - host : " My generation' s action movie stars were legitimate tough guys : Lee Marvin, Charles Bronson, Jack Palance, Burt Lancaster, Clint Eastwood...while today your action stars are Johnny Depp, Jude Law , Orlando Bloom and Robert Downey Jr.He made a good point, no explanation needed.
RIP Jim Brown
The sad thing about being very young when one watches these films is that inevitably, these great actors start dying off one by one, very sad to see them go.
Jim Brown died since you wrote your comment
The same can be said for just about anyone who does anything in the entertainment world. Actors, comedians, musicians, etc. But then again, everyone goes sooner or later. What's said is when you see it coming and there is nothing you can do to stop it.

My condolences to his relatives and friends from Venezuela 🇻🇪
@@Caroni100 Hello, thank you for your comment, yes it is a sad day he was someone always worth watching. Likewise my condolences to them all. Best wishes from the U.K
One of Lee Marvin's complaints about this movie was that most of the actors were too old to play the parts of soldiers. Still a damn good movie though
Yah, I didn't realize that they looked younger and yah some died too young. Dogs die young but they are dogs. You imagine a dog living 80 years, you be pushing them in a stroller, carrying them, crawling at 1, terrible todler twos, oh my dogs live a dogs life. They were the dogs of the dirty dozen., Hahaha
Unforgettable actors and roles
All & All our my favourite characters. Bought the book ' Dirty Dozen' way back in 1977.
Marvin hated this movie
Lee Marvin
Who is my favorite, it's a collection of super good actors.
The dirty dozen - perfect film !!!! 👍👍👍👍
Pinkley the general ... was the most fun of all the movie
Next, my favourite: Clint Walker who also starred in the TV series Cheyenne. He died 5 years ago at a good age 9 days short of 91.
They all did NOT die tragically!
Jim Brown just died. R.I.P. #3.
I knew Lee, his boat. The blue. Hawaii was great. I knew a few of them, I am what's left. I miss Coburn deeply. We're not all dead yet.
Great film 😊😊😊😊
RIP Donald Sutherland. - 20 June 2024

If you can, do voluntary work, it wil give you purpose. Take care.
You left out Clint Walker who was a major star back then.
Also, actor Robert Webber was left out.
Franko died young
жаль..
Shameful production to use as stock photo of someone in a hospital bed that's not your subject. Your channel's just Click - Bait.
The men in uniform are accurate. The women, however, were in ‘sixty’s’ clothing and hairstyles.
need to do your math: If Tom Busby was 31 in 1967...he wasn't 66 when he died 56 years later!
2003-1967=36+31=67. He hadn’t reached his birthday. So he was 66. 😮
I believe that Clint Walker had a Near Death Experience after a ski pole pierced him in the chest?
Your right he was involved in a freak skiing accident in 1971 when ski pole did pierce his heart but miraculously survived and made recovery and even returned to acting two months later. He ended up living until he was 90 when died in 2018.

Cassavetes and Lee died to soon.
Lee Marvin was 63 but he was a heavy smoker of up to 6 packs a day and drank heavily but his war time experiences in World War 2 affected him greatly. John Cassavetes himself was a very heavy drinker and died at age of 59 from cirrhosis of liver.
@@scottknode898 wow, I didn't know that!!! Holy smokes 6 packs a day!!! Yul Brinner was a heavly smoker too. Thanks for the info 🥰🥰🥰
@@santinomendesjr No problem John Wayne was heavy to at 4-5 packs same with Humphrey Bogart and he ended up with Esophageal cancer along with his heavy drinking
RIP Jim Brown "Jefferson"
