Good call on spending money on camera and audio equipment. Quality of the videos is one of the reasons why this channel is growing. Personality of host is king and you have that in spades. Cheers!
Yes..Japan does make me homesick..even though I do not live there...I long to be in Japan....I have a feeling of nostalgia and yearning for a life I've never lived...I visited Japan twice last year...While there I felt a claimness I have not felt for years...Despite being a fish out of water....Japan gave me what I have been missing since losing my partner to cancer....Peace...All I can think of now is to be there again...I want that feeling back.
Working from home rules. You can cook a meal from scratch for lunch, you can sleep in, you can shower at lunch, you can walk your doggos at random times, you can avoid crappy people, you can get your deliveries, you save money on travel and food. And yes Red Rock is the best - but I'm a Sour Cream and Chilli bro.
I don’t understand, why you don’t have 1mio subs yet. Your channel truly deserves it. I will stay tuned and keep giving thumbs up. Let us together further promote your channel.
You are an awesome human. This is an awesome channel. One of these days are going to make it to Japan. Watching you live my dream has been a delightful education. Can’t wait to see what the future holds.
Ein echt gutes Q&A! Weiter so! ^^
I love your energy. I watched this with breakfast before work and it really set me off in a good mood. Im starting the day feeling how good and exciting life is. I'm a filmmaker and I can definitely tell that you've been putting effort into learning more about cameras. Your videos are looking more and more beautiful each time. For lighting there are so many options. If you want to keep your videos looking natural but still have control over the light then softboxes are a good shout. You can also do a lot with lamps you have at home.
As someone looking to take my partner to Japan in the coming year, I'd love a date video or even just a bunch of recommendations in and around Tokyo for couples
Thanks for answering my question about Japanese philosophy, you answered it beautifully. Good luck on your journey, glad you are finding it as enlightening as I am.
Congrats on 50K!! Salt and vinegar is such a top tier chip flavor... I wish I could try the Red Rock ones lol! Oh man a boyfriend date video would be fun, but also people can be so weird about relationships online so maybe it would be best to keep it private? But of course it's whatever you're most truly comfy with, please don't feel pressure! In any case, thank you for all the lovely content!! It's been so fun as you've been getting more and more into youtube! ✨
Congrats on your 50k!! I don’t know why, but when I hear that you’re in a relationship I feel rather relieved. It’s just like hearing that my younger nephew has a good boyfriend, though I don’t have any nephews. Also I’m glad that you mentioned Shikoku, because I’m from Ehime Pref. Please make a video about traveling Ehime someday!
Yes, please make a dating video 😍 Thank you so much for making all those videos! They really help us a lot to plan for upcoming Japan trips (hopefully including a One Ok Rock concert as well 😉)! Grüße aus Deutschland!
As a relatively recent viewer of the channel who is from Hamburg it was such a crazy whiplash moment to hear you talk about your roots in this area. Might also explain the obsession with tea. Ostfriesland in particular has some of the highest tea consumption in Europe outside of the UK as you might know, so it might just be in your blood 😄
Congrats on 50k!! Also a little tip if you want to visit another city in Korea-- you can pretty cheaply take a ferry from Fukuoka to Busan! I lived in Busan for 3 months and it's such lovely city, the beaches are so beautiful and the vibe is more relaxed than Seoul
i would love to see a behind the scene video, i am always curious to see all the hard work that goes behind the camera. like putting you camera a certain way or film the same thing in 3 diffrent ways to make i more interesting. enz.😊
This was so fun! Thanks for sharing these! I'm amazed you got sent abroad so much, but that explains how good your German is. You also made me check my ACNH lol. I have 275 plus hours and my most played is actually Stardew Valley at 570 or more hours. I like my cozy games.
Seerasan! I love your videos and content SO much, you're a natural and your passion/enthusiasm/authenticity bring me so much joy every day (Japan is the best!) Keep up the fantastic work, I hope your channel skyrockets into even more success! :)
Rubbing disposable chopsticks together after separating them is to remove slivers. But that’s often because a lot of restaurants/takeaway in North America use very low quality disposable chopsticks
Congrats on 50k and I love your videos! Do you always plan videos out in advance or do you something do activities and decide “oh I should vlog this”. Sometime I have trouble separating the two and having fun doing something but feeling guilty I’m not being efficient and turning it into content
Congrats again! 🎉 Thanks for asking my question I felt a bit invasive asking about food but it always gives me confidence when I see you ask to modify food! always stressin about that 😅
Congrats on all your subs! You deserve it as your channel is informative and fun. It’s a great way for me to unwind after a long day. Keep up the awesomeness
Great Q & A with various topics! Ikigai was nice extra material and reminds how life is sometimes balancing different aspects of life, which may draw you to opposite directions.
ive been living in japan for about 3 days now and i absolutely love it. still have so much to do like visit the town hall but it should all be good in no time! amazing video and congrats on hitting 50k :))
I love Sapporo beer too!! Have you ever tried Sapporo Classic?? You can only get it in Hokkaido and it is soooooo good !!!! Easily the best Japanese beer in my opinion, especially if it's fresh from tap 🤩🍻
Yes date video! ❤ I’d also like to figure out where all the cool indie electronic music underground spots are. Do you guys have “secret” warehouse parties? 🎉
I would like to see more about the japanese nature. We went to Japan last month (for the first time) and Tokio, Kyoto and Osaka were very interesting but next Year we want to explore the nature- and countryside of Japan. PS: the quality of your Videos is perfect 👌. Greetings from Germany ✌️
Sarah actually did a video a while ago, staying in a cabin in a valley in Nagano Prefecture: "Day in the Japanese Countryside - NAGANO". ruclips.net/video/I3WwHfvq6Kk/видео.html&ab_channel=seerasan
Totally agree with you about the Salt & Vinegar chips! I also live in Japan and have recently been buying the "Golden State Organic" Salt & Vinegar chips! If you can find them you should definitely give them a try! *chefs kiss* 🤌💯
I agree on Sapporo beer, it's my favorite Japanese beer, and Asahi Super Dry is very good as well. I visited Tokyo in July last year, it was hot and humid, never above 30 but the humidity was taking a toll on me. Luckily the trains were air conditioned.
For lighting, I think something like an Aputure MC might be good as a start given its portable meaning you can bring it along with you. Getting two should cover most cases. You can obviously get larger lighting solutions but maybe as a next step down the road.
I also love S&V chips! In the U.S. Jimmy Johns (fast food sandwiches) has the very best Salt & Vinegar chips!!! I crush them and put them in the sandwiches. So good! If you do visit, check them out!
Movie stars, pop stars and many celebs let their fans think they are singel. That is how show biz works. But I guess your honesty and you being your self is the key of your succes
You mentioned that you swim; where do you prefer to swim, open water, pool, which is your preferred stroke? I've signed up to do a charity swim this autumn, so I'm training for the distance, and need to aclimatise to the colder water temps.
50m outdoor pools are my fav. Freestyle is my best stroke. Used to do ocean race swims, but not since I was a teenager haha Good luck with the charity swim!
If you ever come to Canada Whistler is fine but the better snow is at Big White…Although Vancouver in Spring can let you Ski and enjoy beaches or city life. Wet snow compared to Big White’s fluffy snow.
As a German who travelled/lived in Japan for a year, I can say that most German food in Japan really isn't that great. No matter if it's Schmatz, a Christmas market or a more expensive plcae for example, the sausages always taste the same lol. In case of bakeries - you already mentioned Linde in Kichijoji, which is good but there's actually a fairly small shop called "Bäckerei Ponpon" east of Sumidagawa. I've never tried the bread there but they do sell Käsebrezeln there and those satisfied my cravings when I stayed near there! I'd go there every day to get a few.
You really should try to head into Shenzhen from Hong Kong. Take everyone through how to navigate travelling with apps in China ... Travelling there is affordable and crazy modern with so much food variety.
Great Q & A and congrats on the subs! You have great content and the hard work you put in is evident. And of course you’re not single-that would be a crime against nature and all that is holy! 😉👍
Yes to bf vids haha. Also where is that bread light from? I need it in my life. P.s. happy to send you a box of red rocks deli S&V chips from Aus 😂 I agree they are the best 😂
I think you're the only other person I've ever heard talk about having the same kind of seafood allergy as me! I outgrew mine as well in adulthood and I have the same kind of aversion to fish. I'm trying to branch out from just white fish, tuna, and occasionally shrimp, but it's hard to adjust after having spent almost half my life being told to avoid eating seafood at all costs and consequently having developed a distaste for it.
I loved it when you mentioned some of your old school dramas like Hana Yori Dango and Hana Kimi. This ones a bit old but have you seen Chuugakku sei nikki. 中学聖日記 the 2018 drama , another shojo manga adaptation with a killer Soundtrack. Worth checking out if you hadn't previously. Also you mentioned you like KPP , do you like PERFUME as well they have the same music producer. Heading for the silver play button. Congrats on 50k. I like your style of videos. Thank you for letting us take part in your life in Japan.
Love you Sarah! Your videos always make me so happy :) Grats on 50K!!!
Good call on spending money on camera and audio equipment. Quality of the videos is one of the reasons why this channel is growing. Personality of host is king and you have that in spades. Cheers!
Thanks for appreciating the quality! ❤Working at a production company really opened my eyes to varying levels of quality, so I am all for investing!
The bread lamp! 🍞 💡 🙌
it's light carbs, lol

I discovered your channel while researching my trip to Japan. Although I'm back from Japan, I continue to watch your videos. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for sticking around! 😁
You are an awesome human. This is an awesome channel. One of these days are going to make it to Japan. Watching you live my dream has been a delightful education. Can’t wait to see what the future holds.
Ein echt gutes Q&A! Weiter so! ^^
A date video would be so cute only if you're comfortable with it!😍
Congrats on hitting 50k! 🎉

This is such a cool idea!!! Great video!!
I feel like we need to explore this salt n vinegar chips obsession/addiction in detail 🤣
It's just me opening a bag of red rock deli salt n vinegar chips and finishing it in one sitting (unhealthy addiction levels 🤤) lmao
Great Q & A with various topics! Ikigai was nice extra material and reminds how life is sometimes balancing different aspects of life, which may draw you to opposite directions.

Thanks for sharing! Love your videos, congrats on 50k!!
Thank you 💕💕

Yes date video! ❤ I’d also like to figure out where all the cool indie electronic music underground spots are. Do you guys have “secret” warehouse parties? 🎉
That's not really my speciality, but I hear a LOT of them are in Shimokitazawa!
Your shining Shoku-Ban in the background is cute 👀👍 Can't wait to meet your boyfriend ❤

So vinegar-y and delicious 🙌
You are my favourite RUclipsr in Japan.
Thank you 😆🫶
Congratualtions on 50k, you deserve it!!!
Also, 100% Red Rock Deli chips are just...so good!!! and salt and vinegar ftw!
Super fun vid! Thanks for the insight into your life. Please keep us updated by visiting local spots, as I'm really enjoying that series!

Soccer in Japan is great! The J-League is very competitive and Yokohama F. Marinos have an Aussie manager in Harry Kewell
Love your contents! Glad I found your channel
Congrats on the bread light
You're freakin gorgeous!

One OK Rock is coming to Paris in October I can't wait 🎉
Ahhh hope you can get tickets! I’ll be away during the Tokyo dates and I’m devastated!
crisps flavour agreeeeee- walkes salt n vineger

It’s the worst 🥹 glad to hear I’m the not the only one who just can’t like seafood - you get a lot of slack living in Japan & not eating it 😬
😂😂😂 Musste so lachen.
War das während der Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft 2006 in Deutschland?
You should definitely go to yakushima! I went there when I was a student at Kagoshima university. It was the best nature trip of my life so far.
I loved it when you mentioned some of your old school dramas like Hana Yori Dango and Hana Kimi. Summer is amazing, at least it was when I visited in July/August 2010.
Everything is so green and lush if you get out of the cities with the rice fields and the mountains, like the Kamikochi area, are incredible (and not hot due to altitude).
Yakushima looks amazing, my wife is from Kyushu but I’ve never heard of it. Next time we go to visit her family I wouldn’t mind going there
3776 has released two of the most forward thinking j-pop concept albums I've ever heard (3776を聴かない理由があるとすれば and 歳時記). The former is about hiking up 富士山 and the latter talk about seasonal changes that happen around 富士山 on a monthly basis with 12 tracks titled after months. I don't think these albums are on streaming but they can be found on RUclips. Also if you haven't noticed already, she really loves 富士山 🗻, right down to her artist name
red rock deli is delcious my tastebuds been cravin it
Congratulations to 50,000 people. I want to know how Shira got to know her boyfriend and met her. I wonder where she usually goes on dates
