I have watched some of my old favorite episodes and I do find it difficult to realize the information is completely irrelevant. This wonderful intelligent show gave us a cinematically beautiful ending with none of the intelligence or heart. Just a race to a finish line. @@dune1774 tbh it would be for closure/ laying it to rest and moving on rather than to change our minds, who knows season 8 might be like the star wars prequels where people start to like it ironically 15 years down the line.
The thing about gladiators dying all over the coliseum is a misconception authors/screenwriters keep passing on to each other. Actual gladiators generally didn't kill each other - they and their training were too expensive for that. They were more like star athletes today, with special doctors and diets and even endorsement deals.
Dany’s treatment of Hizdahr was a major clue about her destiny. Dany invaded Hizdahr's city, crucified his father for crimes that were committed by other members of his social class, imprisoned him based on nothing but his status, tried to intimidate him into giving up information on the Harpies because she just assumed he was involved with them, threatened to feed him to her dragons, forced him to watch his friends and fellow countrymen actually being fed to the dragons, then forced him to marry her to somehow legitimize her bloody right of conquest to his city, treated him like a toadstool the entire time they were married while openly banging Daario, and finally left him to die in the arena without giving a single fuck about what happened to him, even though he was trying to help her escape. And this dude did NOTHING to deserve ANY of that. A lot of what Dany did to him is an almost exact match for what Joffrey did to Sansa, and yet somehow Dany isn't regarded as a complete monster for everything that went down between her and Hizdahr.
Liam Cunningham should have won an Emmy award just for his performance confronting Melisandre in the season 6 finale; "The Winds of Winter." One of the most emotionally impactful scenes of the latter Game of Thrones run, without question.

Ever since Dany said she was going to burn Carth down when she had tiny dragons I knew she was going to be a problem. She was blood thirsty from the beginning. She just lost all of the people who kept her in check. But once she kept growing based on overthrowing and killing, how do you ask a person like that to choose another route? That's what happened to her.
