And the numbers given in the second air offensive were exaggerated.
The I go operation was completely shredded in reality the IJN lost twice as many planes while sinking only one destroyer and corvette and a couple of transports and a tanker.
The wildcat F4F killed zeroes with an 6 to 1 kill ratios
Actually F4F were nearly as fast (the GM builds were actually faster and turned better) and at high speed could easily out dogfight a zero.
Why are titles and episode numbers impossible to locate the continuation of each story ???
The real mistake was underestimating the American People.
Just thank god it not with the current crop of Americans. We would all be speaking Japanese in a few years.
The first episode that pronounced Guadalcanal correctly. Truk was also pronounced correctly for the first time. Interesting commentary about the effectiveness of the B17 and B24 bombers.
AI is only so good.....
@@markwintermute6526It's a question of training.
I laugh every time this AI tries to pronounce ' millimeter'
Hahaha yeah, Lt Cdr is pretty good too.
Pretty sure PBY Catalinas found the Japanese fleet at Midway.
The American fighter planes did have an advantage zeroes went down when hit and when wildcats flew in pairs more than four zeroes were required for a successful attack
At the start of the conflict the zero was a far superior aircraft and their pilots were far more experienced. It was only later when the Americans has superior tactics and machinery.
The Japanese seem to think that if they had made some adjustments in how they built airplanes or other tactical type changes in their tactics and strategies that they may have had a chance to win the war.
This is absolutely untrue. Japan declared war on a country Twice its size with an industrial base 10 times that of Japan!
This was a very dumb idea. Same for Hitler, just considering Russia, England, USA With a total population of about 350, million, which was 4 1/2 times the size of Germany. It was a very stupid idea for Hitler to declare war on so many industrialized countries at the same time. He got virtually no help from Italy and Japan. Quite the opposite with Italy, which degraded the German fighting power.
What are battlcarriers??????
I think they are referring to what we called “fast or fleet carriers” that were intended as an offensive capital ship intended to go in harms way. Different from escort or light carriers.
L bet they were from the United States OF that Continent.
