Big bucket making big work turn into small work congratulations Dan on getting a new bucket for your tractor 🚜 😮😊❤
Hi Dan That Oak Round on the back of your Tractor 🚜 Made a Big Difference to Counter Weight 👍
Welcome to the BBC, the Big Bucket Club!!
Park your original Kioti bucket facing downhill, so it doesn't fill with rain water, because you wont be using it much, anymore.
Looks like you almost doubled your hauling capacity! Forks and a Material/Utility bucket are THE two best things a guy can do for his FEL.
Nice...the BBC! lol I like it! Yeah good tip for storing the old bucket. I agree that a bucket like this and forks is all ya really need!
If you noticed the row of holes in the front leading edge of the bucket, that is for the installation of a cutting edge to protect the bucket from wear and tear over time. I'm sure the company has one available. You probably should get one Dan
Bucket should help you tremendously in the woodyard!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
It's sort of like the tractor...once I had it I ended up using it for many more things than I thought I would.
Dan, I have the same size tractor and the normal size 5’ bucket. I leave it in 4wd, the weight on the front makes the rear light as you said and on uneven ground it gets real uncomfortable and when it gets to spinning I want the 4wd already engaged to stabilize. 🇺🇸. Great video
Dan just like I told you at the frenz, no problem lifting a full bucket of wet oak.
You definitely want to engage your 4WD especially if you have any uphill grade.
I know you’re gonna love that bucket.👍TCT
Yes indeed you were right....no problem picking it up and even if I only load it 3/4 full it's still much more wood I can move compared to the old. Just being able to toss in rounds loose and get a good amount in is gonna be super helpful.
hi there getting there , time to move the splitter , best to all john
Hi Dan I think that 72 inch Bucket from Top Dog does Make a Difference You could Put 2 Buckets of Ashes from your Boiler Wood furnace and Put That on the back of the Tractor 🚜 for your Counter Weight
Yeah it will make moving ash and snow and yard debris so much easier.
Good morning to you Dan. Just a thought why don't you leave those rounds in the bucket when you take them to the splitter. It would easier on your back. Happy splitting.
That's why there is a log lift on the splitter...😀...plus I also want to separate some of the rounds. There was some Cherry mixed in and then some that will need to go to the Wolfe Ridge instead of the Eastonmade.
Heck yeah. I like it 👍🏻
I really thought it was much bigger, I guess. Just from originally seeing it. I thought it would hold double or more of wood. Still a nice bucket!
Yeah once some rounds start getting thrown in the size doesn't seem as big, but still moves a good amount around.
Looks like you and Amanda have your work cut out for you splitting those rounds!
Yep I'll have to wait for her to have a day off before I start splitting....lol
You definitely need extra weight on the back for safety even if it lifts without it. You only said it (BW) four times. No new record there lol.
Bill
Why did You get that one over the others ??
One thing that really turns me off with web sites is no Pricing or even the on-line catalog...
they could at least have a "ball park" figure to go by...
Thanks Dan..
I didn't want to go too wide so that I couldn't fit in the carport, and driving around making turns I'd probably run into something...haha
hi there grass hopper . a few shows to watch for you and the bucket stacking , just zoom threw the junk that doesn't pertain , may get a lot of good hints and ideas . # 87,160 ,377,182 ,997, 1423 . john
I'm not sure if I stack this bucket full like you that the tractor would pick it up...haha
Win, win for you Dan. Saves money, gas and time. Stay safe.
What a BIG difference! I think you will see even more of a difference when you put the split wood for the firewood stand since all the pieces will be more uniform. Next up, grapple attachment? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ha...nope, no grapple coming anytime soon.
I hope one day my Chanel will grow I guess I work to much and don’t put out enough content . I will slowly get there . That’s a nice bucket . It’s called a litter bucket here mainly used for chicken litter . On your small tractor the bucket it self is heaver plus the extra load keep it low or you will be doing a flip my tractor video 😂.
Dan, I wanted to thank you for the discount code for Big Dog Attachments. I bought a 90" firewood bucket and you saved me hundreds! It arrived today, could not be more pleased with my purchase. Thanks again.
That's awesome to hear!!! No problem at all...glad you could make use of it....enjoy the new bucket. That's a BIG one!!! lol
Hi Dan you should See if you can get 2 Forks to Put on your Bucket So when you use the Coyote and You Want Pickup your Rounds you don't have to get Off your Tractor 🚜 to Load your Rounds it Will Save your back and Time 👍
When I cut blocks I push them into a pile with the tractor and scoop them up. Throwing them in is hard on the back and time consuming. The more you use that bucket the more you will like it.
Hi Dan ....Wondering if the tractor has a recommended Max weight in the standard bucket ?
Thinking anything more than that weight might damage the front end of your tractor !
Maybe the manufacturer has a built-in system of safety in regards to having loaded tires and you have a big load on the bucket...your rear tires start to lift...they want that to be a sign unto you that it the max load that they want it to lift !
My thought is by adding extra weight to the rear of the tractor is not a good idea !
Safety and Probably not damage your tractor over time !!
I want to let you know...I just bought one of these because of you. Seemed like a must have after watching your first video!
Awesome! Just in general or from Top Dog Attachments? Yeah this type of bucket is a big (pun intended) improvement over standard tractor bucket.
@@Back40Firewood I picked one up at auction for $400. Couldn't say no to that price.
Bigger is better! That's is going to speed things up over moving and loading operations. My favorite bucket has become an industrial grapple bucket. You can't load as many rounds in it but you can grab pieces , the sides are cut away so you can load logs, grade out all the ruts you make from turning etc., pick up a bucket full of gravel to fill a hole, grab brush, etc. and not switch back and forth between buckets and forks.
Those grapple buckets are nice...if I had the 3rd function valve I'd probably look at getting one.
@@Back40Firewood You might be able to run hoses from rear hydraulics?
The Kioti is dam impressive hero 👍🏻💪🏻
This was nice. Too bad you couldn't break in this bucket with pine 🤣👍
Oh....it will get it's chance at some Pine coming up here soon...haha
Nice upgrade 👍
Good Morning my Friend Dan. New Bucket looks to Work very Well and Good. Yes Counterweight is needed for bigger Loads. Just remember to keep it a little Low Hauling it and you have it Made. I wasn't able to make Friday Night Live and do THANK YOU FOR SAYING HELLO TO BOB NELSON FOR ME. I don't know if I can make Booneville but I am going to try Like the Dicken's to. I have been in Contact with Bob as he will be there with a 17RS Splitter. Like I said before it's not easy being Retired on a Fixed Income my Friend. If I can make it that is going to be Great, and only Time will tell my Friend. Trying to do it maybe a problem but for now it is still a no go. One way or another I will let everyone know. You stay safe out there my Friend, well Hydrated, Frequent Breaks and limit your Work in this Heat and Humidity. Ron from the Woodyard in Duanesburg NY.
