I honestly thought they should have pulled an earthbound where this was the base layer and if you got past it you wouldn't fight the final boss you would just be dead in bowlettas Belly Kind of how in earthbound you basically don't fight the final boss you just get your save data rekt Or you become popples assistant but then he decides too bad of a person even for him
If people would do the right thing from the start, this kind of stuff wouldn’t exist. (Nintendo should get a bit of a raise for being real strict about how games are able to be played without being pirated)

I played this game with a poor-quality emulator once and got what I believe may have been an actual anti-piracy screen. Basically, after the white fade at 0:45, Mario and Luigi completely disappear and the game soft-locks.
@@bluberrydee6205 Oh yeah, I emulated the game fine with VisualBoyAdvance. The potential anti-piracy screen happened when I was using an emulator called RascalBoyAdvance, if I remember correctly.
I'm not gonna lie but this is probably one of the best I've seen because it's not creepypasta jumpscare galore it's an actual attempt and it's somewhat unnerving good job
There is so much I love about this screen, the fact that Toad is persistent in getting you to stop, the screen itself being very clean, polished and realistic, but Beta Mario had to ruin it by giving it earrape and a vhs filter

Oh my gosh the battle music, it's the same version I heard as a kid when I played this on an emulator!! There was a glitch where all of the music channels except one would be missing, and since it was my first time playing a GBA game I thought it was normal, and that was how the song normally went. I remember being so surprised when I heard the actual version. I thought I'd never get to hear the glitched version again!
Pirates get sent to hell, apparently. And the SMG anti-piracy scene should show Mario falling into a black hole slowly and being graphically and realistically dismembered while screaming in utter agony.
This was my first Mario game ever and it holds a special place in my heart. And me, living in a country where video game piracy is heavily common, I’m glad this screen is fake.
