Best drama of all time, in my opinion. I saw it recently on Netflix and I haven't been this captivated by a drama in almost 15 years. I had chills through the whole thing. I'm watching it for a third time and I keep rewatching my favorite scenes 10 times over at least. The romance is heart-wrenching, but it's the character development, especially that of Haseon and Lee Gyu, that sealed the deal for me. And Yeo Jin Goo's dual role blew me away. It was seriously as if there were two different actors. I remember seeing Jin Goo in Moon That Embraces The Sun and I knew he would be really successful one day, and I was right. This drama gets 20 out of 10 stars from me.
I absolutely 100% agree with you. I'm still so upset he didn't win an award for this drama, he was only nominated for it. I really think he should've won it because he was too damn good. This was my very first drama of Yeo Jin Goo's and third for Lee Se Young (I'd previously seen her in A Korean Odyssey and Lovers of Music where she was the antagonist) so I was familiar with he but not with Yeo Jin Goo. Man was I blown away when I saw his acting in this drama. I couldn't believe how well he played two different characters to the point it seemed like completely two different people when it was in actuality one person. I became a huge fan of his after seeing the Crowned Clown and ended up seeing all his works including the ones where he had cameo appearances in for both dramas and films from his debut until and and I must say, in my opinion, The Crowned Clown is his best work to date acting wise with Hotel Del Luna as second, I don't think anything can top his acting in The Crowned Clown. There's also a film he did called Hwayi: A Monster Boy - that's also another film where his amazing acting blew me away. If you haven't seen it, you should defo watch it!

He was amazing playing a dual role and definitely played it really well. Amazing cast and love the whole atmosphere. Their chemistry made my heart flutter.
These main characters were amazingly great. They are sensational I hardly watch Korean but this show my first one and I loved it. I happen to find out they one of the well known actors in Korea. Good job you guys.
I just knew The Crowned Clown this August 2021 on Netflix. I was never a fan of Jin Goo before or did not even know him but when I saw this drama I can't even sleep, I felt addicted that I need to finish it asap, beautiful story, the character fits him so much, his acting skill was so good, I love his voice and he's really handsome. Now I'm one of his fan saranghae oppa ❤️❤️❤️
just watched movie "the crowned clown on netflix". IT was fabulous ! excellant ! hope it received many film awards !!!! The actors were fantastic , the writers great !
Please try The Red Sleeve too, the Queen here is also the female lead and the drama is spectacular . Best historical drama for me as I haven't watch this yet but I will binge watch this for sure .
I just found out that Eunuch Cho is also the same person in the original movie. 💜💜💜 This drama is really flawless in my opinion, it's one of the few I give 10 stars wholeheartedly. I will watch more sageuk because of this drama. 💕💕💕
