      I have to apologize to you Cassandra. I left a comment a few years back on one of your videos because it popped up on my recommended and I think the comment was somewhere along the lines of “it’s disgusting how you try to sexualize skin care and pretend to do videos about skin care when you’re really wanting to just be sexy and show your body off“. I am sincerely sorry and I was a very sad person at that time and if I know anything it’s that hurt people hurt other people. Since then I have been a subscriber and I’ve watched every one of your videos but I couldn’t do it with a clear conscience. My old scream name used to be B.TexMom-88. I am sincerely sorry for the comment that I left.

    Cosrx is my favorite, I have the most K-Beauty products from this brand and have not been disappointed. I have mature dry skin with rosacea that has been worsening with age. I didn’t pay attention to sunscreen or skincare when I should have and it showed. This past year I began to focus on finding a wearable daily sunscreen that does not feel thick, slick or greasy, I am now fully converted to Japanese/Korean chemical sunscreens or chemical/mineral combinations. I began a skincare regimen and may have become obsessed, but in a good way. My skincare budget isn’t very big, but by watching for sale prices on K-Beauty websites and even Amazon, I am loving trying new products and keeping the ones I love most.

    I 've noticed a lot of K Beauty brands include snail mucin products in their lines (COSRX included). Maybe I've missed one, but if it hasn't been made a vid on snail mucin (sourcing, ethics, opinions) would be fab. I have no fully formed opinion yet (other than stellar feedback from someone who had their own snail farm in their home) and there's no one in my life who's at a level to discuss snail mucins at this level with me. :D

It barely foams up, but i love the texture and it does its job really well. As for CosRX, i personally LOVE their BHA Blackhead Power Liquid. It's one of the best products to minimize the size of pores. It's also really good for textured skin and it treats small pimples overnight. As for sunscreen, i currently use the one from a'pieu. @@myheart2630 Hey! Not sure if I'm allowed to share that here, but I bought mine from the Lazada app here in PH. Just search for the stores named Fresh or Watsons. You can buy the Calamine Anti Blemish skincare line there. For retinoids, look for BCP Dermatological Corp. They are the legal manufacturers here locally for prescription derm products. Make sure they have the LazMall Flagship Store certification, so you know you're buying from the correct legitimate stores, and the products you're buying are authentic and orig 😉

      YES oh my god. luxe organix (Ph) and fresh skinlabs are so affordable but my holy grails for just about anything. like i havent come across a product that was terrible, and if ever it just turns out the formula isnt for my skin specifically - but being someone who has tons of skin conditions including contact dermatitis, fresh skinlabs is so great because its both cheap and doesnt trigger my allergies and actually helps me feel refreshed and healthier! theyre always sold out in watsons and everything, i genuinely wish these would go international if they havent already, im genuinely not aware if theyre sold anywhere overseas. so happy someone brought up fresh skinlabs ♥people need this!

    Ooh, for those who use an oil cleanser for their sunscreen/makeup: if the Canadian brand Lise Watier is available wherever you are, theirs is amazing! It's based on Korean "technology" and is even made there! I've been using it for about 2 years now, it's that good!

    As someone with combination skin, I find k beauty products amazing since they have very hydrating benefits (with essences, masks or sunscreen) while keeping my pore unclogged. I think I will try some creams and cleanser too.
    I still didn't try the active ingredient products, like aha bha, because they are much more expensive than us/european products and from the feedback I heard over the internet, they are not as effective, maybe too delicate.

    I've been using the CosRx Centelle Blemish cream as my DAILY moisturizer for a while now and I swear by it. honestly a game changer for me, I don't know how much it honestly treats my acne but it goes on so well and it makes my pores DISAPPEAR and really does reduce redness from inflamed breakouts and hydrates. I use the CosRx snail mucin moisturizer when I need an extra boost of hydration because it is VERY hydrating I don't use it all the time. I use the low ph cleanser in the mornings and their salicylic acid foaming cleanser at night followed by their BHA/AHA toning spray. by far my favorite skin care brand and I've tried A LOT.

So much out there, it’s difficult to choose. 40’s and 50’s are when we can see years of of sun damage come through - Melasma etc as well as having to keep wrinkles at bay and deal with dry skin caused by peri menopause

I've been finding cheaper alternatives because most UK/US skincare products here in the Philippines have higher markups than those from other parts of Asia. I would also like to ask for a review of the KBeauty 3W Clinic Sunscreen, like if the product really delivers since it is at a really low price point. Thank you once again!

    I heard some people say ca-LEN- dula and I was like NO🙅‍♀ NOPE.

    • @JoNat315
      @JoNat315 2 года назад +2

      I'm actually curious, is that the way it's meant to be said? Because in my native language (Portuguese), the spelling for the flower is "calêndula" and the little hat on the E is purposefully forcing the pronunciation to be caLENdula. Since Portuguese is a latin language, and calendula is derived from calendae, meaning 'calends' (the first day of the month in the ancient Roman calendar), it would make sense to pronounce it caLENdula, not calenDUla... right?

    Careful with traditional acne treatments for acne rosacea (salicylic acid, etc.)! Often a bad idea that risks damaging the moisture barrier without long term respite. Acne rosacea is a different beast from hormonal acne. My derm prescribed ivermectin (brand name Soolantra in the States, Rosiver in Canada) and it finally eliminated my pimply rosacea and considerably toned down my skin's redness. I know you're very knowledgeable about skincare ingredients, Cassandra, but from experience, I recommend you see a derm for your rosacea. OTC stuff doesn't work long term. In the meantime, simple is better for spot treatments: zinc oxide cream will soothe and shrink a rosacea pimple overnight. No need to add possibly sensitizing tea tree oil.
