I hope this answers some of your questions about the backpalm! This is one of the tricks that seem easy to understand yet difficult to do well. I hope this also helps you appreciate the work that goes behind performing magic :) Also just putting this out there in the universe, if Randall Park ever needs a hand double for Jimmy Woo, I might know a guy for it 👀
Forget th back palm... Teach me the credit card version!!! Definitely have to make the solid card next uv did playing cards and coins.... Who's with me???
Wandavision! I can't wait for doctor strange to say he's the master of mystical arts and jimmy is like hey me too and pull a quarter from behind his ear.
You took the words right out of my mouth, Jimmy does this card trick, and Dr. Strange teaches him some actual magic so he can better fuck with peoples minds. Then Jimmy does some studying, masters more powerful spells, and he just plows through baddies. God I hope this is the start of his arc, how he reintroduced himself made me rather curious what else he's been up to, and his helpful manner was a breath of fresh air.
I started learning this trick a couple days ago when the first tutorial was uploaded. Since then I have practiced 15+ hours and have been having a lot of fun performing it. Definitely worth learning , gets way better reaction then "pick a card" tricks :D
You have a chill attitude and seem patient in teaching. Subscribed...funny how a little segment on Wandavision and marvel have brought some of us together! Wandavision!!!!!
I wrote that short pinky comment, and since that comment I've been practicing alot. Definitely a little harder to get used to cause the point of pivot is very low(about where the first crease line of the pinky), and it feels and even looks more unnatural when done slowly, but thanks to practice it's getting smoother and faster. I mean it still obvious that I'm just pushing the cards behind my fingers, but the movement itself is starting to feel smooth for me. Btw, I just measured this, my pinky is 1.5 inches shorter than my pointer finger... wandavision!
@@GingerAvenger9 nope, it can straighten, it's just really short. Actually doing this trick has really strengthen and given me better control over my pinky. It's like a pinky workout.
I just started yesterday but I’ve improved a lot in just a day. My pinky is also really weak and I’ve always wanted to have quick hands, so I’ve learned things like how to roll a coin on my knuckles, I’m hoping that this will help me to get better at using each finger individually.
@@GingerAvenger9 it can definitely help with finger dexterity! I'm also trying to learn how to roll a coin, and I'm learning how to juggle, so finger dexterity plus hand-eye coordination!
Thank you! I watched your "Jimmy Woo's Card Trick" video the next day after watching Wandavision last week. I have always been fascinated with magic and wanting to learn and then you put out such great videos/tutorials that I am hooked!
WandaVision! And no skipping the vlog! I don't know what made me watch your backpalm video from last week but I am suddenly buying a set of standard poker cards and practicing every moment I can. Yesterday I didn't care about cards at all. Now I'm hooked!!!😍 Thank you!
Man I learned the show both side in 24 hours thanks to your tutorial. I didnt even know what back palming was or how this trick was donre before your video and im already stunning people with it all. need MORE! lol
Wandavision! I'm absolutely enjoying practicing this. I already got my sister surprised for a quick second before she noticed so I know I'm on the right track.
You did an excellent job on teaching the back & front palm. I really enjoy your videos and look forward to more of them. Keep up showing some of your card magics.
Great presentation in both the original backpalm vid and this one. Also very clever for using those other vanishes to absolutely leave us wanting more. Lol. Also, WandaVision.
was just about to comment on your backpalm video for the reverse pivot. The recommendation brought me here. Thanks for teaching the method. I guess now i have to give in a lot of time to practice this move.
Thank you for this! I started practicing after watching your first video about the "Jimmy Woo trick" and your very detailed tutorial was veeeery helpful! I'm definitely subscribing~~ (WandaVision)
I totally new to your videos and magic at all. But i really obsessed to your content. I really want to be this cool as you! You are such a symapathic guy, showing clips out of your regulary life, make jokes and teaching simulitanious. Keep going to your awesome job here! Im a huge fan. #wandavision!
Ok I just want to say something... I wanted to learn how Scott Lang/ Jimmy Woo did it ever since Ant-Man and the wasp and I just want to say thank you. I would not find any video that helped me at all, some kinda did it but not really. But you have thrived through all of the other videos and I want to say congratulations and thank you for everything you have taught this community about magic, may it be simple tricks like a coin vanish or more advanced versions like the pivot you have helped anyone and everyone who ha s wanted to learn a simple card trick. In the end all I wanted to say was... thank you and congratulations, to all the views and subscribers, you earned it
Yknow...I knew WandaVision was gonna be good. Didn’t think it was gonna gimme a new YT channel to follow! SUPER proud of you! You’ll be hitting 100k in no time! 🙏🏼
WandaVision. I have not yet mastered the backpalm but I find it to be a very good technique for a quick trick the you can just (no pun intended) pull out of thin air. Thank you!
WandaVision. Thanks so much! I found practicing then sleeping on it then practicing really helped, especially for my pinkie. Now to make it cleaner and work out how the hell not to flash from the pivot load
WandaVision! Just found your channel tonight my man and I'm already making pretty good progress with the trick!! Lots of love, you've gained yourself a subscriber
thanks for the troubleshooting. at first, i wasn't actually holding it the right way i thought that i needed to clip the card with the middle and fourth finger and use the second and last finger to keep them in place. were what you actually have to do is all in the second and last fingers put pressure to keep the card still and the two middle ones just rotate towards the inside to sort of push the cards towards the outside (the back of the palm) and hide the card corners that your second and last finger is pressuring to keep it still. i have also noticed that the inside of the second and last finger tend to get irritated with some types of cards so choosing the right material is also essential.
You deserve the rise in followers. Maybe the Wandavision vid got you noticed more, but your content got a fair few people reaching for the card decks or coins.
Wandavision. Thanks for the tips bro! I practice this everywhere I go. Then I was practicing this backpalm behind a pickup vehicle while moving. I was surprised that my card perfectly vanishes... literally
Thanks for the breakdown and follow up video! Good to know it’s just about repeat and practise over and over again. Also congratulations on your new found success!
1 tip that i would give because ive been learning this for a while is to implement a kind of fluidity to the card. after you know the trick of course and can somehow do it. how i do this is that while holding the card as it is about to vanish i use the thumb and ring finger+middle finger to pivot the card. like this you can make the movement seem easier and more wave like which i feel is good when vanishing
Hey this answers most of my questions and I have been practicing for a week now and I gotten pretty good at it but the edges peek from behind. Thank you
WANDAVISION: If i am being honest, i completely forgot that this show was connected to the actual marvel time line and so i forgot that the officer was also in Antman and about the card tricks. Completely blew my mind.
Hey man. Love your energy and passion for what you do, proud new sub. can't wait to watch you grow, even the vlog style content I enjoyed, just for your personality. Spent 2 hours bending cards the other day. Keep it up!
This is such a great video. Way too many sleight of hand tutorials just show the mechanics of a trick, and if you have any questions you’re at the mercy of the comments (which is especially hopeless on older videos). Thanks so much for the followup!
I had just seen this video today and had almost got it, even the back palm from the starting. The first of hiding it also. The hiding part I learnt it yesterday
I found your channel as I was watching a recap video for WV which mentioned the card trick, so I went looking for a tutorial on the trick and yours came up and it a great tutorial, then I saw the coin drop video and thought hey this guy makes some great vids so it was a subscribe and now I am trying to learn both. @Hayden Pasternak find a spot in the middle of the width of your fingers that will grip. This requires lots of micro adjustments.
Wandavision! I can't wait for doctor strange to say he's the master of mystical arts and jimmy is like hey me too and pull a quarter from behind his ear.
I WANNA SEE THAT 😂
Just to add on, I want Doctor Strange to ask how Jimmy Woo does the card trick.
@@BaoMagic my card broke while doing the trick (it kinda split in half )and i had been carrying that card with my phone for like a year :(
