    Immunity Challenge: Sumo at Sea
    Each tribe will square off one-on-one sumo style. In each round, each tribe must choose a member, with each tribe's representative must be of the same gender.[2] Using a padded bag, each person will try and knock their opponent off the platform and into the water. The first tribe to score five points wins immunity.
    Winner: Hunahpu
    Baylor groans while holding up the parchment with Val's name written down.
    “ (voting for Baylor) I've got a nice five guys alliance. You're sweet as you can be, but you gotta go. ”
    -John Rocker
    “ (voting for Val) I just wanna see that idol, girl. ”
    -Wes Nal
    “ (voting for Val) I told you to play your idol 'cause I told you what was gonna happen. Now you're gonna make me look like a liar to your husband. ”
    -John Rocker
    Final Words
    S29 val bw
    Val

    I feel like I've played big, made big moves, considering that I wasn't with the tribe for two days. It worked for a little while, I wish it would've worked for longer. But I'm happy with what I did. And I think that Jeremy seeing me gone will be a shock to him initially, but I think it will make him go harder in this game, and I think it will inspire him. So. I'm happy with that.

    Trivia
    Deleted Scenes
    A deleted scene posted on CBS.com[3] reveals more about the dynamics between Val Collins and her closest ally Jaclyn Schultz. On Day 5, while walking on the beach, Jaclyn talks about having gone to Tribal Council first and that it's good to be over it, while the other tribe still has to go through it. Val then tells Jaclyn that she didn't find the idol and shows a fake idol that she made, as both go to look for the idol at the water well with Val's clue.
    A deleted scene posted on CBS.com[4] shows Val and Alec Christy by the bonfire after the Tribal Council. Val tells Alec that she found an idol on Exile Island and with it, a clue to another idol in Coyopa's camp that she found as soon as she got there. In a confessional, Val says that as the all-girls allaince didn't work, she had to make stuff up to save herself. She says that the guys may not believe that she has an idol or two, but they will not bet on it. Alec says in a confessional that the guys were planning to take the girls out one-by-one, but Val having two idols changes the game.
    A deleted scene posted on CBS.com[5] shows Jeremy Collins and John Rocker during the night they spent at Exile Island. In confessionals, Jeremy and John talk about the difficult to sleep with all the mosquitoes and crabs at the island.
    A deleted scene posted on CBS.com[6] shows Val warning Alec, Josh Canfield, and Dale Wentworth that Baylor Wilson was playing both sides. In a confessional, she says that she is "all about girl power", but Baylor flipped leaving only Jaclyn on her side, and she learned who deserves loyalty and who don't and she was "moving on".
    Deleted confessionals from each castaway were posted on CBS.com:[7]
    Other
    It was revealed by Dale during the Immunity Challenge that Day 6 was Kelley's 29th Birthday.
    According to Dalton Ross, Hunahpu lost their flint on Day 2.[8]
    J'Tia Taylor's incident with the rice from "Cops-R-Us" is briefly mentioned by Jon when he discovers that he lost Hunahpu's flint.
    During the Sumo at Sea challenge, Val was disqualified during her face-off against Natalie due to the continuous elbowing to her opponent. Val said it was accidental.[9]
    When asked on Twitter, Dale revealed that he voted against Val in the initial vote.[10]
    Episode Title
    The title of the episode was said by Josh to Baylor while explaining having voted for her at the previous Tribal Council.

    I know some people are saying that Baylor was weak but 1. Splitting a lip probably hurts a lot, especially when someones head rams into your mouth. 2. She was hurt by her mom. I get that its a challenge but she wasn't expecting get hurt by her in that way and 3. Everyone has different reactions to events

    I feel so bad for Baylor and Missy🥺 Baylor wasn’t truly mad at her mom, she’s just mad that what happened happened, so she got so short with Missy, and then Missy just couldn’t hurt her daughter more

      Creative_Commander it is a game. They are doing what they need to do to win

    • @creative_commander4973
      @creative_commander4973 4 года назад +8

      El The Slytherin but it wasn’t even necessary? Like, she was in a majority alliance already. She didn’t need to be so disrespectful to the people on the bottom? Just because it is a game doesn’t mean you need to treat people as nothing. If anything that is the opposite you do in a game about navigating social and strategic dynamics.

    • @elle_hamm17
      @elle_hamm17 4 года назад +5

      Creative_Commander Again, it’s a game. They aren’t themselves. They are tired, hungry, and they have to start drama otherwise the producers will start drama. You are welcome to share your opinion, but I believe you’d shouldnt base a person entire life on under 40 days

    • @creative_commander4973
      @creative_commander4973 4 года назад +3

      El The Slytherin again, was it even necessary? Yes, it is a game and they are under conditions that greatly influence their actions, I’ll concede that. However, in an area of social play, being rude to those not in “your group” is akin to isolating like a “mean girl” group. She had no reason to be so mean other than pride.
      Additionally, let’s look at another time a player has called out someone for who they are: Corinne with Sugar. But why does Corinne’s speech get labeled as rude an terrible while Reed’s is looked at in admiration? For one, Corinne basically tells Sugar to kill herself. She doesn’t give a good reason why, other than talking about her dead father sounding insincere. While most of the jury felt the same way(disliked Sugar), they didn’t want to tell her to die. Now look at Reed’s. It tells a story, with reasonable callouts(giving more rice specifically to Missy, in a game where a tribe lost ALL of their rice early on that Missy happened to be on before, making every minority alliance feel completely inferior, etc) and notes that the outcasts decide her “fate” unlike in real life. Her social plays and physical plays were among the worst in the game, if not the series, and that wasn’t entirely due to hunger and sleepiness. She just felt it necessary to isolate the people who could potentially vote for her. I’m not trying to attack you in any way; I just feel that Reed’s anger was justified and eloquently stated so not to be an attack only on her character, which is why this speech is regarded as one of the greatest imo. Plus, he didn’t judge her entire life in 40 days of gameplay, I’m reading the script and it talks about how she was eccentric and entitled, which could be connected to her real life, but more than likely relates to how she appeared and acted in the game. Plus, producer manipulation isn’t really an argument here. Producers do sometimes have contestants say certain things for the camera, or splice footage together to misrepresent their character(for example, NaOnka of Nicaragua was actually somewhat well liked within her tribes), but the last time a producer of big part of the show manipulated the game was in season 1. Potentially. And they got sued for it. I doubt they’d want to cause a fight or drama with the risk of precedent allowing the contestant to sue again.
      All in all, yes. You cannot judge an entire person’s life based on 40 days of living on an island. What you can do, however, is create a picture of what that person has done and make an inference or comparison. This person has done X and X, so I think they are like Y. Reed was clearly allowed to voice his opinions about someone who wronged him and many others, and the argument “it is just a game” doesn’t work when the lines are blurred between that and the personal relationships.
