We do work overtime. But that's when the company needs it. And it's not scheduled overtime.

  • @PeterRobertsson

And of course we work overtime. But we are compensated for that in either money or off time.....And most people dont ear up to the bracket where you ad 20% to your taxes on the portion that is above that bracket (the rest below is still around 28-34% tax rate and goes to your municipality) which is the a state tax.

"Scandinavian countries" are Sweden, Denmark and Norway. Not Iceland and Finland! However, those five countries are to be refered to as "the Nordic countries"

We had "behave sensibly" and not like idiots here in Sweden. I didn't get covid until long after the epidemic was considered over.

Ah yes, the lockdown. I'm an invert so I kinda liked it 😂
But still remember the many times where only the wife was allowed to go out and buy groceries, the brgy captain and his gangsters driving around telling people to get inside (unless he got a little "something" in his pocket, of course). And the entire school system trying to adjust to online schooling (which was expensive because we didn't have fiber so had to install that plus getting gadgets like tablets, phones and laptops).
I was not even allowed to walk the 30 meters down the street to get beer at the sari-sari store - that was annoying 🤣
Mostly though, I remember it as being extremely expensive. You had to pay "a little" extra for everything, because you weren't allowed to go out side.

Funny that those that he interview are not Swedish. Or at least they dont speak Swedish during the interviews...that goes also for the books he showed when describing "Lagom". The texts were not in Swedish! Haha :-)

Not quite true that you cannot get rich in Sweden, it's one of the best countries for starting your own company, and of course the stock exchange is global so it you're smart about it you can earn money that way.

I dont think swedes are happier in a cold dark country most of the year. Sweden has a lot of depression and mental health problems, especially among young people. A lot of drinking and among most drug users in europe. People live very lonly with a lot of single households at least 40% and divorce rate of 50%
