It’s because the public voting was totally different, then little countries were disadvantaged. So Unfair! Love Edsilia !!!

Being Dutch I have been through all the Dutch Disasters and suffered like hell. Untill 2013 (with the exception of Trijntje).

The semifinal in 2007 was so brutal. Another song which would’ve easily qualified if there were two semifinals.

My Impossible Dream was really underrated for me - I still listen to it all the time :) It's a lovely ballad and she performed it so well!
The Netherlands & UK Were so underrated in 2017. OG3NE Should have taken place 9. And the UK should have taken place 8. And Hungary & Australia Not. -.-

I'm from Moldova but i love The Netherlands so much and support this country. This entry was very impressive and unforgettable. Deserved being in the final.

What a shame!! That year with the Unique Semifinal, some countries were destroyed. If there was been performed 2 semifinals, pretty sure that The Netherlands, Estonia, Andorra an Portugal could have reached the Final!!!! Still love them in October Pandemic 2020 by the way.

Aziza Alkan only jury was from the beginning since 1996, in 1997 first 5 countries introduced televoting, since 1998 most countries used televoting (jury was used only as a backup, when televoting didn't work or something happened like in Netherlands 2000 when the fireworks disaster struck and the transmission of ESC and televoting was interrupted), in 2008 jury decided who will be the tenth qualifying entry from semifinal, in 2009 50/50 voting was introduced (but only in the final, as I remember), in 2010 50/50 voting was used both in semifinals and final and later on... in 2016 the 50/50 voting stopped to be combined

The Verses and Middle 8 are so strong but that chorus man...it lets the epicness of her and the song fade and becomes another generic ESC track

Okay song but as a follow-up to "Hemel en aarde" it was very disappointing and underwhelming, wasn't a big shock Edsilia didn't qualify but I say she should try and come back to ESC for a 3rd appearance! with The Netherlands back on track and NOS now knowing what they're doing Edsilia can complete her trilogy with a fab ending after a poor 2nd installment.

Its nice but thats it. It is the same sound she got 4th with in 1998 and already in 2007 that sound was outdated. She is good but the song is bland
