Awesome! I was waiting for you guys to go down the rabbit hole of Delta Green. 🤪💊 I just started myself with my own group. Please review more from this series!
Nice description of a cult favorite. Delta Green fixes the story and world-building problems of the “Call of Cthulhu” RPG. The Delta Green storyline and scenarios are incredibly well-written and engrossing (not to mention extremely creepy). What are the 3 DG scenarios you recommend new players start their campaign with?
Last Things Last Puppet Shows and Shadowplays Convergence (if you want to get NECK DEEP straight into the Majestic-12 and the conspiracy in the 90s) Something to keep in mind is you can totally retrofit 90's Cthulhu/Cthulhu NOW scenarios to fit Delta Green, or Modern Cthulhu scenarios. Several such as Unseen Masters even give tips for this. Ladybug Ladybug Flyaway Home could easily become a Delta Green scenario with the players being recruited later on if they don't screw it up.
Thanks...just the recommendations I was looking for! I think I will start my agents on those DG scenarios next week...or convert Ladybug Ladybug if I have time 👍🏼
Keep in mind that those latter two I mentioned are from the original 90s sourcebook which you can find a pdf of on Drivethrurpg. The Delta Green community have also developed "shotgun scenarios" which Last things Last originally was before winning an award. Short scenarios all free. You can find the winners of each contest by googling or searching their site. A few have even gotten art in the Unspeakable Oath. I have run a few, but with winners you have a good chance. Not the best for a first but easy reading and the winners are worth a look. As an experiment I've run two scenarios "in real time", Secret Shopper (2 hours) and Cancer Cell (4 hours). Secret Shopper would be an excellent second or third operation for a group. Cancer Cell I can only really see as a one shot as it is exceptionally difficult to run well. That one is a massive story as I got doubly experimental and had two players not a part of the main group play Agent Ross and Jenny Harrison to further add confusion as to who was the real antagonist. I also dialed up the King in Yellow influence significantly, as the armed hastur cell members drew tens of yellow signs in the hallway after evacuating that floor with their guns. Reality began to break down over time and agents started dying. So much happened its hard to type here in that session. It ended with one agent left alive, at which point the cultists stopped their attacks and PRESENTED the survivor with the object they had been trying to kill him for. They left for Carcosa never to be seen again, and the final agent drowisly walked toward a robed yellow figure who painlessly carved the yellow sign into his head and let him leave. Downstairs the armored defusion van arrives, sees the sign on the agent's forehead and opens fire... too late as the briefcase with the virus goes off in an explosion spreading it to all of them. Chicago fell if not the world.

I hope they recommend the best scenarios to start DG...and the best DG scenarios overall
