This video shows us Refurbishing an Antique Ring in Platinum. We removed the stone, resized the ring, retipped stones, added milgrain back onto the piece, and cleaned and polished it. Helpful hints about working with platinum were included in this video.

very well done, lord mark approved. although i disagree with the hard platinum solder thing, if you use 1400-1700 it shouldnt show much if at all when properly sanded and polished. ofc welding the same metal back is ideal but the solder comes very handy especially in construction or light soldering to avoid using gold and cross contaminating the metals.
