Good video content Vince. I've bought 16/4, 16/3, 18/4, 22/2 from you and it all is good quality cable. The shielding is good and tight and the cable is very flexible for it's size. The cables are easy to work with and I will buy more when needed. I suppose that if the cable was constantly flexed in a sharp bend, that the shielding could loosen up. Being that the shielding is tight when new but the guy said the shielding was loose only shows that it was overly flexed and stressed. Being that most of us are just home CNC hobbyists, we can't be experts in everything. It takes a lot of time and research to just get a basic understanding of what is needed. Unlike a big CNC company who has multiple experts in multiple fields, most of us home CNC hobbyists are just barely educated enough to keep out the blue smoke. You do a good job at representing yourself and your business in a professional manner and sell good products that make it easier for us to buy what we need.

Halfstep67, thank you for your support. I also applaud your honesty. Many end users aren't as honest unfortunately, and feel they are experts the day they get involved with robotics. I wish more were like you. Thank you,
      Vince

I use your cable, it is one tuff cable I don't know how you could mess it up unless you were towing your truck with it.

I believe he had a Shapeoko not a Onefinity. That said you are 100% right I am a Machine technician and have been repairing CNC routers for years and have seen it all and improperly installed cables are very common.

      Larry,
Thank you for your support. I really appreciate it. I totally agree, and it really is a topic seldom discussed, but causes many issues. Have a great weekend!

Thanks for those vids, Vince. Sure does illistrtate what you must have to deal with on a regular basis. I've only sold a few items on line and am aware of the issues that can arise involving customers. You, with your much larger scale must have to be evebn more careful to keep people happy.
Nice ending. Challengine the customer to build his own cable. Very, very stand up! .
I can't give you enough "likes". The single thumbs up I'm allowed to leave for your vidio almost feels like an insult.

Kirk, thank you sir for your support as always. Thankfully I really never have this happen as I believe in open communication with my clients before, and after the sale. If you Haven't watched Jason's response video when you have time you should. It reflects how some people's characters really have no integrity. Thank you again, and have a great weekend!

Jason's About info on his RUclips says all you need to know about his ability to diagnose anything..."Just an average dude living in St. Petersburg, Fl and likes to tinker with stuff. " I wanted to go to bed about 2 hours ago, but watching you have a battle of wits with an unarmed person was too much to pass up!

Not to sound like an asshole but most of this info Vince is giving us here is common sense. The exact values and formulas for a robust cable management system would be one's next research topic for one's SPECIFIC conditions (since we all are building our own custom robots) Shame, I do feel for the guy who lost a good quality cable but at least Vince saved him big bucks in the future forward. I think for most people this would be a valuable lesson when a cable broke. You have the chance to investigate and one up next time. Unfortunately, this didn't go off well when a non-pliable-minded person messed with a passionate business owner. But anyway don't be bothered too much Vince, your quality and passionate workmanship shines BRIGHT through all this bullshit. I bet you a lot of guys will be re-thinking their cable management systems soon so you better stock up on drag chains lol. Keep Well.

Gerhard, thank you for your support. I really appreciate it, and your of course absolutely right. Its unfortunate some end users refuse to educate themselves prior to getting involved in this genre. Thankfully its only a handful like these people. Thank you again, and have a great weekend!

I know this is old but he is being very disingenuous saying that is a basic appliance cable. We do deal with similar basic tray cable but certainly not double shielded. He also should know better that a diagnosis of some sort of stress caused the failure because we see that constantly in one form or another. With all that said I'm in the process of building my cnc and doing research as the wiring and all this shielded, cable chain and proper connections are not exactly in our wheelhouse. He is treating it like our low voltage control wiring where it is beyond forgiving and best practices are if it works when you leave. The meses I deal with from " professional " techs would make your eyes bleed. Unfortunately most are to arrogant to realize they need to learn a new way and this isn't forgiving at all. For the first time I ordered flux from you to make sure my connections are as good as I can make them. I do find it quite funny him berating your cable with that video floating around

Most people are simply not able ot hold themselves accountable for their mistakes. The person discussed in this video certainly suffers from this.

Thank you for your support. It really is sad how some people can't admit what they don't have experience with. It's something I find refreshing today when I meet someone who tells me "they just want to learn to do it right to avoid spending money, and time on the situation twice". Thank you again for your support. Vince
